  • diffhist Aljamiado 09:12 0193.153.43.160 talk(ه only used for Castillian when it would've previously been <f>, which were still pronounced /h/ in older Castillian and sometimes modern Andalusian. Words that had <h> in Latin already had it silent, so in aljamía it was written as a vowel. Compare tafcira del mancebo de arevalo's usage of "honrados" as "اُنرَّدُشْ", to "hallaron" (fallaron in older castillian) as ""هَلَّرُنْ. "Razón" also changed for etymological reasons ("raçón"). All coda nasals seem to be written as nuun even before b/p)
  • diffhist Aljamiado 08:59 0193.153.43.160 talk(Might elaborate more on this later but ه seems to be used in Castillian words specifically in contexts where it would've previously been <f>, which were still pronounced /h/ in older Castillian and sometimes modern Andalusian while words that already)
  • diffhist Aljamiado 08:45 +20,392193.153.43.160 talk(Reverted to 29 March version for same reason as before. Noticed some other changes which I cannot find evidenced in actual manuscripts. If undoing the reversions, please include examples of these additional letters being used.) Tags: Visual edit Mobile edit Mobile web edit
  • diffhist Aljamiado 08:38 +1,845193.153.43.160 talk(Reverted to April 13th version. Chart in later version seems to replace letters found in Andalusian manuscripts without any sources for the changes? This older version seems a lot more accurate (if not perfect) to manuscripts like Tafçira del Mancebo de Arévalo, Libro de dichos maravillosos, Memorial de los principales mandamientos y devedamientos de nuestra santa ley y çunna. These only seem to use the standard Arabic alphabet with shaddah for additional phonemes.) Tags: Manual revert Visual edit Mobile edit Mobile web edit
