Hi @Jmertel23:, I was wondering why you put the template for needing additional links to other pages back on the article. I linked it to the major Fungi page and a list of parasites. If every page had to be linked to more than 3 pages (the number this is linked to), then almost every article on some obscure topic would have this template. I'm sorry the template got removed by the way. I was editing the page when you put it back up. However, I believe it should not be there, because the article is linked as much as it can be. Thank you, BluePankow 15:49, 19 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @BluePankow:; I think there is some confusion regarding what the "underlinked" template is used for. It is not used to indicate that an article needs more incoming links from other articles (in that case, the "orphan" tag would be used). An article being "underlinked" means that is needs more outgoing wikilinks - i.e. the article itself needs more links to other articles. Does that make sense? @Jmertel23: Oooooh. That makes much more sense, thank you for clearing that up for me. I was under the impression that if an article was tagged with that template that it needed more incoming links. Now I understand what you mean. Thank you very much! I won't make that mistake again. BluePankow 16:29, 19 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@BluePankow: Not a problem at all! I tried to explain it in my edit summary when I undid the edit, but looking back I realize I wrote it in a fairly ambiguous manner. Thanks for reaching out about it! Jmertel23 (talk) 17:52, 19 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
