After Nemanja Vidic's injury, on 31 March 2007, Craig was promoted to the first team Source is "http://www.manutd.com/default.sps?pagegid={B4CEE8FA-9A47-47BC-B069-3F7A2F35DB70}&newsid=415856" Dont know how to source stuff --Slogankid 20:11, 31 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Craig Cathcart is a right-footed player. Please stop editing my entries based on incorrect, lazy research based solely on poor Football Manager research. Please see the extensive protestations from the official Manchester United data researcher for the most successful football management game of all time; Football Manager 2008 "http://community.sigames.com/showthread.php?t=14739&page=20" here the researcher goes to great lengths at how ridiculous it is that such a basic error has been made; that a player who is clearly to anyone who watches him play, is listed as the wrong footedness. Quite how such a simple mistake made it through the wiki filters so often is beyond me. Should you require any further evidence, then try actually watching Cathcart in a match! —Preceding unsigned comment added by RSB689908 (talkcontribs) 00:40, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The comments of a researcher for a video game, no matter how awesome the video game is, are not valid sources for statements on Wikipedia. The source we have comes directly from Plymouth Argyle F.C.'s official website, and they say he is left-footed. Until a published source states otherwise, we should not second guess that source. – PeeJay 06:53, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Apologies - here I was thinking that wikipedia would value blatant fact over mindless procedure. The fact that you are actively encouraging bad research is laughable, as is the fact that you hold such a reasonably influential position within the wikipedia set-up despite an apparent lack of knowledge of the subject matter at hand - it is not as if Cathcart is a new name to United supporters. Once again I urge you to look beyond poorly-researched sources and actually watch the player in question in a match, or even training. At the very least, I would request that the subject of his footedness be removed from the article until you are fully aware of the facts.

Another thing Tommy, I've just noticed that you have been informed of this basic error on previous occasions, and yet have failed to put in any effort into resolving it; nevermind continuously reinstating the incorrect information after well-meaning contributors have attempted to help you out. Really struggling to fathom just how you've got it so wrong.—Preceding unsigned comment added by RSB689908 (talkcontribs) 23:29, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Retired?

[edit]

The opening paragraph says "former" and "played", yet later in the article it says he signed a 1 year contract with Kortrijk (with a reference). Making wp:bold edit until someone provides a reference for his retirement. 155.190.13.13 (talk) 03:24, 29 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
