Brother Bear

[edit]

In this film, Denahi attempts to commit fratricide on Kenai when he turned into a bear. Does this count? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.147.84.144 (talk) 21:28, 25 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

A better place for video game reference?

[edit]

I have a strong urge to delete the reference to Kain (Legacy of Kain) video game. It seems out of place under "references in literature". However, I'm up for a constructive solution. My reasons for deletion are:

  • An arcane video game plot hardly qualifies as "literature". Rather, it is trivia - take a look at Wikipedia:Trivia.
  • The meaning of fratricide has been more concisely illustrated by the previous examples. The game plot is hard to follow and distracting from the main article.

Reasons to keep it:

  • There's a fine line between trivia and... whatever else there is
  • It's funny (especially the smugly-written sentence fragment "An excellent example of Fratricide." at the end. Maybe when Wikipedia gets serious someone else will have the guts to delete it.

Romulus And Remus

[edit]

Shouldn't there be something about the history of Rome and it's fratricide beginnings even if they are mythological? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.169.240.59 (talk) 03:40, 27 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Pat Tillman

[edit]

I removed the Pat Tillman section, due to the fact that while his killers may have been brothers in the sense of military comrades, they were not bloodline, nor family tied. Therefore, I believe his entry to be unwarranted. Jmlk17 09:45, 28 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with this, but someone has replaced this since your removal. Clearly the reference does not belong in the list and is being placed there by somebody with a political agenda to push. Kingturkey 12:44, 3 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Keeping legends and history separate

[edit]

Kain killing Abel isn't a historical fact. It's a legend. Therefore it should be moved to the proper section. I agree —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.143.187.50 (talk) 19:37, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Kludd/Soren

[edit]

What about the Kludd/ Soren thing? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.39.228.1 (talk) 16:58, 13 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'll get right on that.--Silverbeak 02:22, 14 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You're crazy! Just because you're an unbeliever doesn't mean this story isn't true. The Bible is spot on about Cain & Abel, ...God Said so! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.5.181.165 (talk) 20:50, 10 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

And just because you're a believer doesn't mean the story is true. Wikipedia is a place for facts and information. An unfalsifiable story counts as legend, not fact. --173.51.202.150 (talk) 01:41, 25 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Is this section really necessary? We aren't TVTropes, for goodness sake. --173.51.202.150 (talk) 01:41, 25 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. Why are there so many references to A Song of Ice and Fire? I can see one or two but it’s half of the fiction section. It seems like an unnecessary tangent to an otherwise scholarly topic. 2601:340:C401:E540:D80E:5C4C:929F:B75B (talk) 19:24, 8 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Tadashi

[edit]

He was killed by Professor Callaghan, so he could be in the page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:18D:4701:C4A0:4D06:42C2:31D3:3A07 (talk) 12:43, 6 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
