Farabi not Turk[edit]

Oxford professor C.E. Bosworth notes that "great figures [such] as al-Farabi, al-Biruni, and ibn Sina have been attached by over enthusiastic Turkish scholars to their race"

He didn't write in Turk, didn't mention Turk, and Ibn Sina repeatedly insulted the Turks, given that Farabi influenced him greatly. Why do Turks attach themselves to historical figures that have no relation to them? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ditc (talkcontribs) 18:19, 9 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Redundant lists[edit]

We already have a List of Turkish philosophers. I would suggest that any philosophers here be reflected there, and the title to this list be changed to either reflect (only) scientists (as in the current title) or scholars (as in the body).--Epeefleche (talk) 01:07, 24 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
