Ian Arnstein = Harry Turtledove?

Both character and living person have a lot in common. They both have the similar appearences, are both Jewish, interested in Greek history, and are both science fiction writers. I've heard a lot of talk about this on AH forums and Turtledove said in an interview that other authors have used characters inspired by him in their novels, but I can't find any source that tells me that Ian is based of off Turtledove. Since I don't want to be accused of creating OR, can anyone help me here?Zombie Hunter Smurf (talk) 13:02, 4 September 2008 (UTC)

My reasearch has only brought up three sources that mention this: a blog, a post on AH.com and the Tuckerization article which is sadly unsourced as well. None of the sources I found is notable enough to confirm it but I'm tempted of putting it in and than just saying a cite is needed.Zombie Hunter Smurf (talk) 20:42, 4 September 2008 (UTC)

Original research

I removed the following text as original research: "He shares a name - and some personal characteristics - with the historical 19th Century filibuster William Walker who tried to carve out a personal empire in Central America." There are presently 31 other "William Walker"s with Wikipedia articles. There are millions of people around today named "William Walker," per an internet search, and there have been millions more in the 19th century and earlier. A reliable source is needed to show that the name appearing in the novels is more than coincidence. The Walker in the novels was a Coast Guardsman who grew up on a ranch in Montana. William Walker (filibuster) was a lawyer and physician and journalist from Tennessee, and a gifted college student and scholar, unlike the Walker in the novels.
