Remove biased language[edit]

The article only provides a single side of the "controversy" and relies on one-sided news sources. In order to provide a more complete understanding of the topic it is necessary for us to not demonize the other viewpoint. 2600:1009:B01D:AD33:0:47:B567:5801 (talk) 02:50, 18 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

NPOV Sentence[edit]

The following sentence should be changed or removed. Thoughts?

"However, the issue is often discussed in the media in terms of feelings and opinions, and prevents full understanding of the history and context of the use of Native American names and images and why their use by sports teams should be eliminated." This sentence is supported by a citation from C. Richard King, a PhD anthropologist and professor who is the leading expert on the topic of this article. It is not an opinion, but represents the current consensus by the social sciences that the use of Native American mascots by sports' teams is a form of racism.--WriterArtistDC (talk) 01:20, 14 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
