Ohsalur

Not sure if "Ohsalur" is a variant spelling or just an error. I would be inclined to think this was an error- switching the k in Oksalur for a graphically similar h. However, the Chinese character names for this township are both pronounced in Mandarin with an 'h' at just the place where this letter would be- Wuheshalu
- More explicitly: Oksalur ئوقسالۇر Wuheshalu
吾 合 沙 鲁 - Etymology: Ok=ئوق=bullet=Wuhe=
吾 合 ; salur=سالۇر=in the chamber=shalu=沙 鲁 - Transliteration:
- O=Wu
吾 , k=he合 , sa=sha沙 , lur=lu 鲁 - Oksalur Wohusulu
倭 胡 素 魯 - O=Wo
倭 , k=hu胡 , sa=su素 , lur=lu 魯 - In both cases, the k is corresponding to a sound that was transliterated into Chinese characters with a character pronounced in Mandarin with an h. Therefore, Ohsalur seems reasonable to me. Geographyinitiative (talk) 11:59, 24 October 2020 (UTC)
