merged

  • Merge –I propose merging Sarah Gilis into Sarah Gillis, Hughesdarren, Lar and Celestina007. I think the content in Sarah Gilis can easily be explained is more elaborate than that in Sarah Gillis, and a merger would not cause any article-size or weighting problems in Sarah Gillis as both have same lines. i didnt make an orphan page but there was a misunderstanding as you read below:

i was making the page on this edit and forgot that the missing 'l' in Gillis after 3 hours after completion of page and publishment i saw the missing 'l'. i went to the page mover option to find that the page is already made within 3 hours. to leessen problems i want the merging of both pages.

thank you. Chinakpradhan (talk) 10:53, 16 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

ok maam Chinakpradhan (talk) 12:03, 16 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Agree If you want me to merge the articles together then I can do it if you like. Regards. Hughesdarren (talk) 11:32, 16 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
please do that Hughesdarren sir Chinakpradhan (talk) 12:03, 16 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I was not aware of the other article. If I had realised there was an article with the wrongly spelt name I wouild have just moved it, leaving a redirect behind, instead of starting this stub. Merging them together is a good idea, as the other (wrongly titled) one is far better. Leave a redirect at the wrong name. I can do this if Hughesdarren doesn't have time or interest. Since the other article is at the wrong name, this should be uncontroversial and should just be done. ++Lar: t/c 13:52, 16 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Ok I am doing it Lar. I thought it would have been controversial so asked in discussion Chinakpradhan (talk) 16:33, 16 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Source of my work on this page

[edit]

I didn't tried to violate anything actually I tried out translation so the content in this page is majorly a translation from the existing French Wikipedia article at fr:Sarah Gillis; see its history for attribution. They were the first to make this article. While editing I included some portions from external sources that are given as references in this page And the ultimate credit (if needed to be included) is for https://polarisprogram.com/team/ as they copied most of the matter from this page only. I just made a translation please User:65.92.246.142 . Chinakpradhan (talk) 03:05, 17 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

botched merger

[edit]

The merge (just above) was done with copypasta, in violation of WP:CWW, and needs to be redone properly, most of the important history was lost. I can do it, I have admin, but my skills are very rusty. If another admin can take this on that would be awesome. If not, I will give it a go but it may not be right away. I've also placed a call for help on my own talk page (I used to have a lot of talk page watchers back in the day) ++Lar: t/c 17:43, 17 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Actually I think the merger is ok if we add the appropriate "merged from" info in the appropriate places, see Wikipedia:Merging#How_to_merge ++Lar: t/c 14:45, 18 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Sarah Gillis Photograph

[edit]

Why use a photo that conceals her face? Would a photo of the back of her head be acceptable? NeutralityForAll (talk) 22:24, 23 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

At that time, no better photo with the right license was available. Now resolved. --mfb (talk) 06:02, 16 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Levin or Levine?

[edit]

According to the current article, Levin would be her second given name and Levine was her family name at birth? That doesn't seem likely. The only source of "Levin" I find is spacefacts. Her school calls her "Sarah Gillis (formerly Sarah Levine)" and mentions two more Levine family members. Her Twitter handle is @Gillis_SarahE - if she has a second given name, it's probably starting with E. I think we should remove "Levin" in the lead. --mfb (talk) 06:01, 16 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
