This doesn't seem to look loke the complete logo of 1993 as it is missing the Newschannel box around it had back then.

Might Get 4 kids tv?

[edit]

As You Know, Fox Is Planning To Sell WDAF Along With Eight Other Owned and Operated Stations. And Because Of This, WDAF Might Pick Up 4 Kids TV. 12.216.123.8 16:09, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unsourced

[edit]

Nearly this entire article is unsourced, and it has a lot of historical information about the station. I added a {{refimprove}} to mark it as such. Xadnder (talk) 07:03, 28 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Adding unreferenced entries of former employees to lists containing BLP material

[edit]

Hello, Please do not add unreferenced names as entries to the list of former employees in the article. Not including this type of material in articles abides by current consensus and is strongly discouraged in our policies and guidelines. The rationales are as follows:

  1. WP:NOT tells us, Wikipedia is "not an indiscriminate collection of information." As that section describes, just because something is true, doesn't necessarily mean the info belongs in Wikipedia.
  2. As per WP:V, we cannot include information in Wikipedia that is not verifiable and sourced.
  3. WP:NLIST tells us that lists included within articles (including people's names) are subject to the same need for references as any other information in the article.
  4. Per WP:BLP, we have to be especially careful about including un-sourced info about living persons.

If you look at articles about companies in general, you will not find mention of previous employees, except in those cases where the employee was particularly notable. Even then, the information is not presented just as a list of names, but is incorporated into the text itself (for example, when a company's article talks about the policies a previous CEO had, or when they mention the discovery/invention of a former engineer/researcher). thanks Deconstructhis (talk) 04:18, 19 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There are two different logos for WDAF-TV and I want other thoughts. WDAF-TV currently uses the word "NEWS" at the bottom of their logo. They use it on their website, Facebook page and their Twitter page, as well. The question is Do we use the logo with "WDAF-TV" at the bottom or "NEWS". I am thinking that we should use the logo with "NEWS", since they use it for everything. Thoughts? Corkythehornetfan(talk) 21:49, 4 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed - we should be going by whatever logo they currently identify with. ~SuperHamster Talk Contribs 22:12, 4 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I go with on-air branding as far as how the logo should be, not solely their web and media presence. Unless this station is identifying as 'Fox 4 News' through the entire broadcast day, we should retain the call version in the infobox; the news version can stay in the newscast section or be replaced with a still of the open. I would go for the one with the callsign on the bottom, because it thoroughly identify the station as a whole. Yes, even though the station probably use it "Fox 4 News" logo almost everywhere, it doesn't really identify the station as a whole. Like Mrschimpf said, it would be a different situation if the station's overall branding (non-news prorgamming, etc.) were "Fox 4 News" (i.e. WMBF uses WMBF News for the overall brand). So I agree, the logo with the callsign should be posted on the infobox.Csworldwide1 (talk) 01:04, 5 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to 3 external links on WDAF-TV. Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:
