License tagging for Image:Balkans-political-1.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Balkans-political-1.png. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 15:07, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

I could revert now and then you could revert back and irrationally get angry, starting an edit war...but why not evade that. Afrika paprika's policy should be abandoned by now. Maybe I am making mistake but [1] this map I have seen on other places. Only difference for me is that name Croatia has been added to the map. I really do not know where I have seen that map before but.... Maybe PaxEquilibrium can remember from where is this map (if it is copy). I will not ask deleting of the map because I do not want to loose time looking for this map (looking for evidence that map is copy).
If it is OK for you in future I will look your edits. --Rjecina 20:15, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have more or less solved problem with Island of Vukovar (and lost with that 1 hour). If you want you can do something similar with Island of Šarengrad. Looking for data about Island of Vukovar I have come with data about Šarengrad. Look this statement of Croatian president:

Italian words in Croatian

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Italian words in Croatian, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the dated prod notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add db-author to the top of Italian words in Croatian. My very first advice to you is:
 • Chill out, you're very tempered. :) Take a cup of coffee.
 • Be very careful with controversial templates, they will only get you enemies here and make you look bad to people who see your user page for the first time in their life. Cheers! --PaxEquilibrium (talk) 23:23, 5 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I have deleted this userbox, as I feel it is divisive and possibly inflammatory, along with the associated category (making "anti" userboxes or categories is generally not a very good idea-particularly user categories, of which all "anti" categories have been deleted). If you wish to recreate a similar userbox, I would request you reword it to be less divisive (and preferably not titled "anti-yugo") or it may run the risk of being deleted again. Thanks for your help in editing article. I will be very happy if many users from ex Yugoslavia start to edit this timeline.

If I do not make mistake you editing for years after 1992 has been wrong because SFRY has dissolved on 27 April 1992 so she do not exist after this date. Question if Federal Republic of Yugoslavia is heir of SFRY is very controversial and it will be best that it is closed. Maybe is possible to create new article Federal Republic of Yugoslavia timeline ?--Rjecina (talk) 17:05, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with Rjecina on this one. The Serbia-Montenegro-Kosovo case doesn't belong to the Yugoslavian breakup, as it was both already done and is under totally different circumstances and times. --PaxEquilibrium (talk) 20:48, 7 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Italy's expansionism

[edit]

According to wikipedia expansionism is "the doctrine of a nation's expanding its territorial base" ... "usually by means of military aggression". Now, do you really believe that someone in Italy wants to start a military aggression to expand Italy's territorial base? I don't like Fini, but he said only that Rijeka is Italian, not that it must be part of the Italian Republic. I think he wanted only to say that the city was culturally shaped in an Italian cultural environment during the centuries. I think that he's quite stupid because he doesn't recognize that the city was a crossroad of many cultures, that Italians were only a plurality and just for a while, and because he doesn't care that he hurts the sensibility of an other nation, but I'm sure that neither he nor any of his comrades think about an expansion of Italy. Clap (talk) 16:57, 11 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Don't worry. When they came to power the last time, they did not invade any neighbour, did they? Believe me, there's nothing to be worried about. They are only interested in revisionism (and now less than once), not in expansionism, including Menia. He's still not well-known in Italy, he's mentioned on the main newspapers only when he has headlines on Croatian newspapers (he has built his political career on the attention given to him by Croatian media), and it's unlikely that he'll become more relevant. And maybe they won't win... Clap (talk) 05:46, 12 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tudjman i Djokovic

[edit]

Video sam tvoju ideju. U principu je podržavam, ali mislim da treba dobro razmisliti o pitanju. Dve stvari meni padaju na pamet:

 • guidelines kakve su sada savetuju Tudjman i Djokovic, treba napasti samu smernicu WP:UE primerima same Wikipedie

--Irić Igor -- Ирић Игор -- K♥S (talk) 12:33, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That user is not a Slovenian. AFAIK, our Slovenian colleagues on Wikipedia, never talked to me that way.
That unregistered user, that you've mentioned, was already blocked once because of his abusive language against Croat users (because they opposed to his POV attitudes), inflammatory messages and generally, for his misbehaviour [4]. Kubura (talk) 22:25, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Adolfo Veber Tkalčević

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Adolfo Veber Tkalčević, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding hangon to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Macy (Review me!) 18:56, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Basque/croatian wikipedia cooperation (updated!!!)

[edit]

I saw your answer in my basque wikipedia user talk. I'll work in the article about the riot and translate it into basque. I'll tell you when it's finished. Anyway I think we can work in articles that are more general: there's not much information in the basque wikipedia about cities like Split, Zagreb or Dubrovnik. Those would be great to start.

See you soon--Trintxerpe (talk) 16:50, 21 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Aradic:

I already created the article about the 1990 Dinamo-Red Star riot in the basque wikipedia. You can read it here: 5. I also created the articles about NK Dinamo Zagreb (6) and Red Star Beograd (7), though they are in a primary condition. I'll complete them progressively. If you have any suggestion about new articles relating Croatia or the Balkans, just tell me in my user page. Anyway, I think there's a lot of work to do in basque wikipedia about Balkans so I'll just slowly keep working.

I'm working in the translation of an article about an event in spanish political transition which happened in the Basque Country. When it's finished, would you like to translate it into croatian? Anyway, this work is still in a very preliminary state. In case that you agree, I'll let you know when it's finished.

PS:I have some problem with your e-mail adress so I put this here, hope you see it. Trintxerpe (talk) 08:03, 22 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Aradic-en. Sorry, but I don't have a formed opinion on the usage of this person's short name so I will not participate in this particular discussion. I should also say that usually it is not recommended to inform other users about ongoing discussions/polls, as other users may view that as canvass. Austrians

[edit]

You know, between peoples, its like amongst the elves, there have been sunderings. Don´t regard Austrians to be Germans only both of them speak the same language or may have a simmilar ancestry. To speak with Tolkien again: The Noldor started to speak Sindarin in Middle-earth, but they didn´t become Sindar. Alike Serbo-Croatian doesn´t make a Serbian out of a Croatian... Ethnicity is, however, only a scientific construction, nothing you could touch. The boundaries are fluid. You could also have a look to the the Dutch history. Please read the discusion and don´t change articles only because of your personal feelings... It´s all about science. --193.170.52.132 (talk) 02:40, 29 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
