Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Sign your messages with four tildes (~~~~), be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Information icon Hello, I'm That Coptic Guy. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Wizard of Odd, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Comment: Please be wary of the information you add to articles and ensure that the citation properly corresponds to the claim you input. I am referring to this edit. Thanks! — That Coptic Guy (talk) 19:34, 2 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Waxworker (talk) 11:14, 29 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Waxworker. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, List of programmes broadcast by Nicktoons (British and Irish TV channel), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Waxworker (talk) 14:42, 25 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page List of programmes broadcast by Nicktoons (British and Irish TV channel), may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:

  • A "bare URL and missing title" error. References show this error when they do not have a title. Please edit the article to add the appropriate title parameter to the reference. (Fix | Ask for help)

Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, Qwerfjkl (bot) (talk) 17:24, 26 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Old Bear Stories, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page ITV. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:00, 21 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Well, ACTUALLY, I was adding accurate info about the end credits, so if you want to undo it, DON’T! It’s TRUE! Bbc1984 (talk) 12:54, 21 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Sidekick (TV series), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ron Rubin.

Hello. I wanted to let you know that your recent edit(s) to the The Wizard of Oz (1939 film) plot summary have been removed because they added a significant amount of unnecessary detail. Please avoid excessive detail and high word counts when editing plot summaries/synopses. You may read the plot summary edit guides to learn more about contributing constructively to plot summaries/synopses. There are also specific guidelines for films, musicals, television episodes, anime/manga, novels and non-fiction books. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. DonIago (talk) 20:27, 7 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I WAS ADDING WHAT WAS ACCURATE TO THE FILM Bbc1984 (talk) 08:30, 8 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Firstly, you're yelling. Secondly, there's more to creating a good plot summary than being accurate to the film, which is why I linked you to the appropriate edit guides. Cheers. DonIago (talk) 13:51, 8 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon This is your only warning; if you remove or change other editors' legitimate talk page comments again, as you did at User talk:NinjaRobotPirate, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Bbb23 (talk) 13:49, 10 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Message from TPercival

Hello. I wanted to let you know that you should be keeping your behaviour in check on Wikipedia. Frankly, you have been shouting in a edit summary of The Magic Roundabout (film). Do not shout like that, especially in edit summaries as this can come off as aggressive. Your previous edit had been reverted because it added some unnecessary detail. Please refrain from adding in unnecessary detail that would potentially exceed the word count of plot summaries. I recommend you read edit guidelines about making constructive edits. Thank you. TPercival (talk) 10:59, 9 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Look, It wasn’t unnecessary detail, It was accurate to the original series Bbc1984 (talk) 16:29, 9 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 15:51, 10 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Looking through your edits, you seem to believe that being correct is an absolute defense on Wikipedia, and thus nobody can challenge your edits. This is not how Wikipedia operates. When your edits are challenged, especially if someone points out a relevant policy or guideline that you may have overlooked, you have to work to establish consensus through dispute resolution. Although they work well, some of the methods of dispute resolution can seem a bit tedious. I realize that many people don't want to sit around arguing about minor (but important to them) issues for a month as an RFC plays out. In these cases, sometimes all it takes is a discussion on the article's talk page. Edit warring to get your way is disruptive and results in blocks. Even if true and verifiable, consensus may establish that some content doesn't belong in the article.

There have been times when I thought the people who argued against me were wrong, and the consensus they came to made the article much worse. You just have to live with it sometimes. If you can't do that, and you can't edit collaboratively, you may prefer to write a blog or edit Wikia instead of Wikipedia. In particular, Wikipedia is a general purpose encyclopedia, unlike the fan-written wikis at Wikia. On Wikipedia, you have to observe guidelines like Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Film and Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Television. These often have restrictions on what level of information should be included. That means not everything belongs in a Wikipedia article. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 16:12, 10 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked temporarily from editing for persistently making disruptive edits. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Ad Orientem (talk) 04:06, 9 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Disruptive edits and aggressive edit summaries

[edit]

Your edits on Happy Monster Band showcase that you act like it’s your page and that your revisions only matter. Well, they don’t. The fact you keep adding in London Weekend Television is definite sign of vandalism and disruptive editing. Secondly, your aggressive edit summaries - so stop with that attitude or otherwise you might end up getting blocked indefinitely by Wikipedia. Wikipedia is a place where anyone and everyone can edit, not you controlling pages the way you want them. Luigitehplumber (talk) 11:58, 10 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please unblock me

Look, Wikipedia, I was adding accurate information to the site, can you please unblock me on the condition that I DON’T get blocked again? Please tell Ad Orientem to do it! Bbc1984 (talk) 08:42, 14 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
