Vjdchauhan 13:47, 1 August 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Firstly, I am giving a translation (English) of the message of Vjdchauhan: --Bhadani (talk) 15:19, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Translation begins
Mr Bhadani how are you?
Hello Mr. Bhadani. How do you do? Was there any meeting of Wikipedians from India after the last meeting at Chennai. I am now observing that very few users frequent Wikipedia talk:Notice board for India-related topics. Is there any particular reason for this? In fact, I am also noticing that very few pages are being created related to India - I may be wrong. What are your observations.
Translation ends.
Thank you for your message. I am fine. I don't have any specific comment to offer. Wikipedia is a movement and shall continue to grow. Regards. --Bhadani (talk) 15:18, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wikimania 2007[edit]

Hello Sir. Yes, both of us were there. I had a wonderful time there. I am quite busy with college work right now, but I have uploaded all photos on flickr. You can see the photos here. - Aksi_great (talk) 17:57, 13 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Pictures are really fine. I just missed though hope to make it next year. I wish you all the best for your examinations. Please continue to devote sufficient time to your studies. All the best! --Bhadani (talk) 03:25, 14 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Happy Independence Day 2007[edit]

Happy Independence Day !!!
Dear Bhadani,
India is celebrating 60 years of Independence, a joyous day for all Indians to celebrate. Lets make a resolution to make India beautiful and fight against terrorism and anti-social corruptions. Follow the steps of Mahatama Gandhi. On wikipedia do the following on this occassion:

Being a proud Indian I take this as an occasion to wish you and your family the best in the days to come on Wikipedia and in real life. Happy Independence Day 2007!!! and Happy Wikipediaing Sare Jahan se achha ye Hindustan Hamara -- Amartyabag TALK2ME 05:36, 15 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thapar[edit]

Bhadani, Can you please explain your edits in thapar's article. Please see that E.M.S is considered as a very eminent personality & also the source cited is from the "Marxist", a very reputed publication.-Bharatveer 07:13, 19 August 2007 (UTC)Bharatveer 07:22, 19 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I reverted an edit made by Outlookeditor [[1]] who is strangely very silent on the matter, and presumably accepts the revert. I have also protected the page as per the link to the discussion given in the edit summary. You are welcome to carry out the discussion on the article's talk page, and I trust that other editors involved in editing the page (like Hornplease) have already given the reasons and no further explanations and clarifications are required. In any case, if you still have concerns, please feel free to take up the issue at BLP noticeboard for better analysis of the issue. Thanks. --Bhadani (talk) 12:47, 19 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Reverting Without Discussing[edit]

Bharatveer reverted my well sourced contributions to Indian astronomy without discussing, adding an insulting edit summary "reverted to a saner version". This saner version contained some unsourced and false statements which I corrected. Moreover, I had added a section 'Merucentric Astronomy' at the insistence of SteveMcCluskey who is a member of History of Science Project. This "saner" behaviour of Bharatveer is beyond comprehansion. Reverting is the last action one should take a resort to. Bharatveer has a history of reverting without discussing ( See his talk page). Is it OK ? -Vinay Jha 12:03, 19 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think that Mr. Dab [2] has already clarified the matter on the talk page of the article, and no further clarifications are warranted. Cheers. --Bhadani (talk) 12:50, 19 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Urgent: India page[edit]

Hi Bhadani, Since you are one of the most experienced Wikipedians, I thought it would be wise to get your opinion. In February 2007, we had an RfC on the Talk:India page concerning addition of new material (see here), and it was felt by a majority of the people commenting that stability of the article is important. Yesterday, out of the blue, Blnguyen, who has no history of editing on the India page, made a post on the page, that has created a lot of confusion. Could you take a look at this section of the Talk:India page? In particular, User:Sarvagnya, for example, has returned to his scheme for de-constructing the India page. (By way of background: Nichalp, who usually watched over the article is busy this summer; Ragib, who was subbing for Nichalp is busy too. Blnguyen seems to think that the page is in bad shape and is about to be de-FA'd. He feels that it needs many more citations (and their lack) is reason enough for it to fail an FAR. Nichalp, when he was active, discouraged over-crowding the text with too many citations (especially when the text was composed in the summary-style, as India is). I think Blnguyen has some valid points: the page needs more (and certainly better) citations and the prose (especially of some new sections that were created by other people) needs revamping, but I think you might be in a good position to assess Blnguyen's idea of expanding the article to twice its size.) Regards, Fowler&fowler«Talk» 11:50, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thanks for coming to my talk page. I would surly love to contribute to India page. I shall certainly look into the matter and try to present my comments though free time at my disposal is rather limited on account of real life commitments. Regards. --Bhadani (talk) 16:16, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

page protection request[edit]

Hi Bhadaniji - could please fully protect my talkpage? I don't want any editing, alteration or posts on it whatsoever. Rama's arrow (just a sexy boy) 00:26, 26 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Nirav. I am sure that you are fine. In case, at a future date, if you feel so, please come back. For the time being, I have protected your page as requested by you. Please remain in touch, at least once or twice a year, by sending mails All the best! --Bhadani (talk) 02:35, 26 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Bhadaniji - with respect, I must affirm that I will never return to Wikipedia, ever. Aside from the unforgivable and nauseating insult to me, I have completely lost interest in the project (although I wish it well in general) - I deeply regret having spent time and energy here in the first place, and this place has sucked much valuable time in my life, which I shan't ever recover. I have made my final edits to adjust my personal settings and to pay respect to a good friend, but that's it. I wish you all the best.... (here goes... my final edit :) (Blast... Another "final" edit :)) Rama's arrow (just a sexy boy) 14:53, 26 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I understand your agony and dismay very well as I have received similar treatment a number of times, and am "confident" of getting similar treatment in future if I start real editing as wikipedia is being used not to create the sum total of human knowledge but the sum total of human knowledge as perceived by a group of people. I am hanging on here habitually without adding real value to the project. However, I am sure that we shall meet in real life someday, somewhere. I request you to please send me a mail so that we may correspond sometime, not about wikipedia but about more interesting matters of life. Thanks and Kind Regards. --Bhadani (talk) 15:02, 26 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
After thought: You regret having spent your time after giving more than 10 FAs to this Project; I regret that I was "driven out" before I could start real value addition! --Bhadani (talk) 15:10, 26 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I am not bitter - just being frank. However, I was lying when I said that I deeply regret spending time here. Making the acquaintance of you, Ragib, Sundar and Gurubrama (and the gentleman, Dore Chakravarthy) was certainly a blessing, and I am proud of it. I have learned much, and will fondly cherish the memories of interacting with such wonderful people. I am happy to leave on a positive note, to keep the good ones at heart - Jai Sri Rama! Rama's arrow (just a sexy boy) 15:30, 26 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Me too - I met a number of nice people here, including meeting Sundar (twice) and Gurubrama in real life too! Dore Chakravarthy is active at India Wikia. I am also active on a number of Wikia wikis. As Wikipedia has become a habit for me, I continue to do some edits, mostly, of routine nature while listening to sacred music. --Bhadani (talk) 15:39, 26 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

PS: Wikipedia allows (de facto, not de jure) group ownership of articles which promote a particular point of view..., and therefore, it has failed to emerge as the Better than the Best. --Bhadani (talk) 18:13, 27 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you[edit]

Bhadaniji, Thank you for creating Template:Neighborhoods of Chennai. It looks great! Regards, Ganeshk (talk) 21:09, 26 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Ganeshji, and when I think of Ganeshji, I think of Ganesha :) Last time we met in Chennai on 25th February, 2007, and I am looking forward to meet you again and again. I also find that a lot of cleaning is required to be done in pages related to neighborhoods of Chennai. I shall be doing it gradually. Kind regards. --Bhadani (talk) 15:22, 27 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
We did not have much time to talk when we met in Feb. I look forward to meeting you again sometime to talk in detail. It would be great to meet everyone at a wiki-meetup in India. Regards, Ganeshk (talk) 05:29, 28 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
My response. --Bhadani (talk) 13:52, 28 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
