Speedy deletion of "Savage Montana"

[edit]

A page you created, Savage Montana, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is about a real person, group of people, band, club, company, organisation, or web content, but does not indicate why its subject is important or significant.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Thank you. Jusdafax 22:58, 30 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

June 2010

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did with this edit to Flagg Center, Illinois, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Funandtrvl (talk) 00:05, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Kings Hill Pass Montana has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Duplicate of Kings Hill Pass

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Speedy deletion nomination of Saddlback Mountain, Montana

[edit]

Hello Crcut,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Saddlback Mountain, Montana for deletion, because it doesn't appear to contain any encyclopedic content. Take a look at our suggestions for essential content in short articles to learn what should be included.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Garagepunk66 (talk) 02:47, 7 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Banff Grand Canyon Road requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

wholly unhelpful redirect, no obvious target

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Railroad redirects

[edit]

Crcut,

I notice you've been creating a number of redirects from the names of individual railways to the railway page. This isn't a good practice: if you look at our reasons for deleting redirects, number 10 is "If the redirect could plausibly be expanded into an article, and the target article contains virtually no information on the subject." You've also created some double redirects, which have been automatically fixed. In general, if the page you're redirecting to doesn't contain any mention of the term you're redirecting (e.g., railway redirects to rail transport, which doesn't say anything about the Eagles Mere Railroad), it's probably better not to create the redirect; the red link lets people know that there's still work to do and an article to create.

Please acknowledge this message, here or on my talk page, as it doesn't look like you've used any talk pages yet, and I want to make sure you're seeing this. Thanks! Choess (talk) 03:10, 22 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Crcut. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Northumberland Road, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Redirect creations

[edit]

I see you have recreated Barriefolk despite it being deleted at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2019 May 29#Barriefolk. Per WP:G4, I am deleting this redirect. Additionally, I see you have created several junk redirects over the years, usually to places that do not discuss the redirect subject. Usually, editors are able to get the hint once several of their creations are deleted for the same reason, but you continue to create, for example, Timber Falls Adventure Park to Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. The issue with this is that Wisconsin Dells has no content on Timber Falls Adventure Park, so a redirect there does nothing but confuse and disappoint those who may follow the redirect. Accordingly, I will also delete that redirect per WP:R3 as an implausible, recently created redirect. I see you have already been warned about the issue at User talk:Crcut#Railroad redirects without response. Wikipedia is a collaborative environment, but I see you have never used talk pages, nor discussed any of your redirects that have been nominated at RfD. If you continue to create such redirects and do not discuss the issue further, you can and will be blocked for disruptive editing. Thanks, -- Tavix (talk) 21:17, 15 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If this was the first article that you created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

The page Barriefolk has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appeared to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2019 May 29#Barriefolk.
