Graceland number of visitors

[edit]

Hello EvlisFan1981! I see you reverted on January 4th, 2010, a change I made to the Graceland article on Januaray 20th 2009. I put again a change, but I think it would be worth discussing it directly with you. The reason why I keep changing the sentence "Graceland has become the second most visited private residence in the United States, behind the White House", is because on wikipedia itself you can find in the Biltmore Estate article that it welcomes over 900,000 visitors per year. So I don't deny that your source is correct, but as it stands, wikipedia contradicts itself : either Graceland is actually the second, and Biltmore article needs to be edited, or Biltmore article is correct and Graceland is not the second. Maybe your source has become inaccurate with time? What do you think? Thanks --DomiAllStates

Hi ! I found your message, and I didn't think about looking for a reference for the Biltmore article itself. It does make sense... if we go by reference then the number of visitors on Biltmore should be removed/not taken into account. I made a little bit of research, and all I can find is a sentence on this page : "We receive more than one million guests every year at our 8,000-acre estate". I don't know if this is considered as a valid reference. I let you decide and will stay out of this debate from now on :-) Thanks --DomiAllStates

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
