Hi Freya Lorelei and thanks for your contributions. I saw you made several attempts to link Grease! in the Lucy Lawless article before apparently giving up. Two things:

Firstly, if you want to link to a Wikipedia article, go to that article and copy its title to use as the link. You were trying to link to "Grease (stage musical)", but the article is titled "Grease (musical)". That's why it wouldn't work.

Secondly, I was able to see your repeated attempts because you committed each with the blue "Publish page" button on the edit page. It's a good idea to always use the "Show preview" button before hitting "Publish page". That way you get to see if your edits have achieved what you wanted, and correct any errors you might have made, and other editors just see the version you intended and not a string of failed attempts in the edit history. The "Show changes" button is also useful to keep track of the changes you have made before you publish.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Petosegay, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Bear River. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:07, 26 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Coupla things

[edit]

Hi, Freya - first of all, thank you for your generous attempts to improve the encyclopedia by adding wikilinks. I just wanted to point out that we don't wikilink common words, or duplicate wikilinks. In fact, we have a script that highlights duplicate links that you might want to add to your common.js as a feature you can use to help eliminate unnecessary wikilinks – see User:Evad37/duplinks-alt. Following are 2 essays that may also prove helpful: MOS:OVERLINK, and Wikipedia:Wikilinkitis. Thank you for your efforts!! Atsme 💬 📧 17:59, 28 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to Paranormal romance does not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits a summary may be quite brief.

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! — Anita5192 (talk) 22:07, 19 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

RPGs

[edit]

Hi there! I have been working over the last few months to build up the lists of Ennies Award winners (and before that had previously done the same with the lists of Origins award winners) by year. Most of the games on those lists from more recent years don't have their own articles, but I will be doing something to address that in the not too distant future. I was wondering if you wanted to make sure that the list of tabletop role-playing games in particular included all of those more recent award winning games so we have somewhere to start with? Information icon Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! Sariel Xilo (talk) 15:56, 10 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Preview, consolidate, summarize

[edit]

Hello- Below are a few editing suggestions to make it easier for you and others to collaborate on the encyclopedia. Please preview, consolidate, and summarize your edits:

  • Try to consolidate your edits, at least at the section level, to avoid cluttering the page's edit history; this makes it easier for your fellow editors to understand your intentions, and makes it easier for those monitoring activity on the article.
    • The show preview button (beside the "publish changes" button) is helpful for this; use it to view your changes incrementally before finally saving the page once you're satisfied with your edits.
  • Please remember to explain each edit with an edit summary (box above the "publish changes" button).

Thanks in advance for considering these suggestions. Eric talk 11:41, 13 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Undid some information added in Hamster cages

[edit]

Hi Freya Lorelei — thanks so much for your contributions. I undid some of them, however, because there were not citations, and you added content in the middle of articles to make it look like existing citations supported your addition. For example, in this series of edits you added "Safe bedding options include aspen shavings and unscented commercial paper pulp bedding marketed specifically for small animals" right before a citation to a source that was already in the article, but that source does not seem to actually say anything about aspen shavings, etc. This creates confusion and makes the article less reliable. Clearly, you know a lot about hamster care, so please do keep making contributions — just make sure you're citing reliable sources when you do. Happy editing!
