Template Talk: Central Luzon State University

I try to edit/remove non-related talk to the article which I accidentally did not remove from my sandbox before I move it to the Template Page. But it was automatically reverted back and I have received a notice of vandalism. Sorry for that, I just want to remove it since it is not related to the template talk. Wakowako (talk) 06:03, 28 June 2012 (UTC)

Well, I'm sorry about the warnings. You're not in trouble. Also, please don't put new discussions on the top of the page, put them on the bottom. --J (t) 06:05, 28 June 2012 (UTC)

Thank you very much Ram Kishore Shukla will be rewritten when abundant reliable sources available Ballisticizer (talk) 06:07, 28 June 2012 (UTC)

Erm, no, please either move it to User:Ballisticizer/Ram Kishore Shukla or it will be deleted. This is unacceptable. There will never be sources! --J (t) 06:09, 28 June 2012 (UTC)
How to move it sir, there are abundant sources if you check history, we (creators) decided it to do it from the beginning a user Arthur Rubin created so much nuisance for us, please we beg of, reply, how to move it, thank you very much - Ballisticizer (talk) 06:15, 28 June 2012 (UTC)
What if I moved it to your userspace for you? This way, you will not get the article deleted. --J (t) 06:16, 28 June 2012 (UTC)

You will be the first person on the wikipedia i will remember good experiences, thank you very much sir, will this move leave Ram Kishore Shukla title empty so that it can be created, once again, the person had a high designation in the india and has alot of relaible sources like from Election Commission of India (the apex govt. body which assures democracy in India) which will be used as earlier, thank you very much sir. - Ballisticizer (talk) 06:22, 28 June 2012 (UTC)

Talk page

Could I ask you a favour? Could you delete your "vandalism" comment from my talk page?

I ask this because there is a user Daniel Bratland who seems to trolling my edits.

What he has been doing is setting up a situation exactly like this one with threats, false edit summaries and so on.

Looking at what I did, it was an easy mistake for you to make given what he has done. But it was clearly not vandalism. I had only just started the other page and it took time for me to find the right tag. Therefore so I am very confused why I should be left with bad marks to prejudice the next user or admin who comes along.

Some time ago, I had differences of opinion with Daniel over "outlaw motorcycle" related topics. It is a subject which he has strong prejudices about and he accused me of being a lawyer or PR shill for them. A position I found ridiculous and one that could not be further from the truth. Ever since then, he appears to be piqued and on my case.

I am very happy to contribute to this project as a volunteer in areas of interest. I have added numerous minor but significant enough pages, and lots of references to topics. (Let's be honest most of the major topics are already covered). However, I am really not prepared to put with with petty harassment which creates obstacles to that and people telling me what to do like they own the place. It is counter productive and will only drive newcomers away.

I find that far more uncivil than calling a spade a spade.

BTW, I mentioned that some kind of script or template error seem to mess up your talk page edit window. The Wiki logo and left hand side bar appears lower and to the right, above the editing box, obscuring where one is meant to write and some links. I have not seen it on any other Wikipedia page.

Thank you.--Bridge Boy (talk) 07:48, 28 June 2012 (UTC)

Bump. Thank you. --Bridge Boy (talk) 05:41, 29 June 2012 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for June 28

Hi. When you recently edited Temple Run, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page App Store (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). New Feedback Tool

Hi. I was just viewing the reader feedback for the Jay North article and I noticed it says you recently featured the most recent comment. I'm still learning to use the new feedback tool, so I was hoping you could tell me – what does it mean when a feedback comment is "featured"? Does it mean that the comment appears somewhere on Wikipedia or what? Also, can you tell me how the "relevance" and "helpfulness" ratings are calculated? Thanks in advance. --- Crakkerjakk (talk) 05:37, 7 July 2012 (UTC)

Hello, Crakkerjakk. I featured that comment because the reader told us how well the references are, instead of the normal "good job". I'd say check out this for more suggested guidelines on featuring and hiding comments. Thanks! --J (t) 05:40, 7 July 2012 (UTC)
Thanks. I agree that's really the only useful comment so far since IPs who don't understand about fair-use guidelines for images complaining that there aren't enough pictures of him doesn't really tell us anything (except how useless the old tool really is/was), but I'm basically just wondering what "featuring" a comment means? Is it like a "sticky" that pastes the comment on the top page or is it just like a "thumbs up" for their comment? --- Crakkerjakk (talk) 05:56, 7 July 2012 (UTC)
More like a role model comment display. --J (t) 05:59, 7 July 2012 (UTC)
Ok, I get it - it's basically like admin feedback on user's feedback. lol. I was asked to participate in the development of the new tool a while back (just my opinions about how I thought the new tool should work and suggestions about how to make it work, etc), but I haven't really kept up with it and I see it's recently been implemented on more pages, so I'd like to update myself with more info about it. I write a lot on Wikipedia, but I'm not good at finding my way to pages providing info about this kind of thing - Can you link me to a current page that gives details about the recent roll-out of the tool on new pages and what the plan is for the tool in the coming months? Thanks again. --- Crakkerjakk (talk) 06:24, 7 July 2012 (UTC)
WP:AFT5. --J (t) 15:02, 7 July 2012 (UTC)
Thanks. I checked that page last night, but I didn't see the schedule at the bottom of the page (I think I must tend to glaze over when I get to pages like that. lol). Anyway, I see the schedule now. Thanks again. --- Crakkerjakk (talk) 15:24, 7 July 2012 (UTC)

Translation request from the UK National Archives

Dear Jeffwang,
the UK National Archives requested a translation of a Chinese text on two images. Would be great if you could add a translation and the original chinese caption for this and that image. Thanks in advance. Regards, Peter Weis (talk) 09:39, 11 July 2012 (UTC)

Hello, these seem to be Traditional Chinese. I'm not so good at Traditional, so please ask somebody else to translate these pictures. Thanks! --J (t) 14:36, 11 July 2012 (UTC)
Alright, thanks for your fast reply. Regards, Peter Weis (talk) 00:05, 12 July 2012 (UTC)

Apologies

I apologize for my action (moves) which annoyed you, as you were the only person on Wikipedia with whom i had good experiences. I don't want to lie you, the issue is actually the same as before that the title Ram Kishore Shukla could be free, although once it was done by you to move it to my userspace, but as it was edited by several other editors it was moved back to article space, i am just asking you a favor to do please move Ram Kishore Shukla to the article title Shukla family (Beohari) so that i can recreate my maternal grandfathers article from a fresh start, i am having complete source file for Shukla family (Beohari) if you permit i can edit it right now did not done it yet as afraid of some users who were not even a single bit helpful. I have also complete source file for Ram Kishore Shukla for new page with all sources free from grammatical errors possibly. I you ask me i can e-mail it to you you just create it after moving existing Ram Kishore Shukla to Shukla family (Beohari), please consider my plea sir, i am unable to concentrate on my daily routine these days since 27 June i have spent 8 hours daily for about 12 days to prepare a source file for new Ram Kishore Shukla. I will be grateful to you in my real life also till my end, my cell number is 00919407144444, 00919407414444, Thank you --Ballisticizer (talk) 16:03, 13 July 2012 (UTC)

Respected sir, as i said i will not lie a bit to you yes i have Alcides86,RKS4444 Ballisticizer, sir please with respect once again the issues is the same as before, my tiny will was just to have that page started as a new start, and also Shukla family (Beohari) has great possibility to exist as it has about 30+ inline citations, if you permit me i can edit it on existing Ram Kishore Shukla. This article was never that important as it has become after my arguments with one user. please i am requesting you to consider because before also you helped me this time i am asking you to move it to article space of Shukla family (Beohari) after you permit me to edit to become the same. I beg you on my knees. --Sir please reply : --Ballisticizer (talk) 06:46, 14 July 2012 (UTC)

Please reply

Respected sir, i think you forgot what was the problem with Ram Kishore Shukla, my tiny will was just to have title Ram Kishore Shukla in red link so that i can start it with fresh talk page as it was turned in something due to some users. You helped me once please show me the way to how to get it done. Should i go for Swapping of titles between existing Ram Kishore Shukla and a new one that will be created under some XYZ title ???? please tell atleast so that i can begin it or leave it :( --Ballisticizer (talk) 07:21, 14 July 2012 (UTC)

I'm so sorry, I was confused. Please do work on Shukla family (Beohari) and then the article Ram Kishore Shukla shall be kept about him only. Thanks! --J (t) 13:30, 14 July 2012 (UTC)

That means what i am asking is not possible from anyway. if no thank you vary much, however you gave alot of guidance and good experiences. good day --Ballisticizer (talk) 13:57, 14 July 2012 (UTC)

Revert to File:Arthur B. McBride testifying before the Kefauver Committee, 1951.jpg

Hey - This is no big thing, but I'm just wondering if you could expand a bit on why the above-mentioned file shouldn't be flipped horizontally. I cannot move the image to the opposite side of the page because it is the main illustration in the article's infobox, which appears on the right-hand side of the page and can't be moved. It's a non-free image; free images don't appear to exist, so it is the only image in the article. I flipped it per the following guideline in the Manual of Style:

"It is often preferable to place images of faces so that the face or eyes look toward the text. However, images of people need not be reversed simply to make the person's face point the text, and should not be done if the reversal would materially mislead the viewer (e.g., by making the subject of the article or section appear to have a birthmark on the left side of his face, when the birthmark is actually on the right side)."

I didn't think the reversal would mislead the viewer, as there are no identifiable features on the subject's face. I'm fine to leave it facing the opposite way, but I don't see how it could be considered offensive, especially in view of the fact that the subject is dead. Offensive to whom? Again, not a big deal, but I'm a little confused.--Batard0 (talk) 14:27, 14 July 2012 (UTC)

Well, you can do as the MoS, but I wasn't aware of that. You may revert it back to your version. I'm sorry about my unjustified actions. --J (t) 14:42, 14 July 2012 (UTC)
Thanks and no problem - not a big issue at all, really.--Batard0 (talk) 14:51, 14 July 2012 (UTC)
