Hi there. I do want to reach a consensus on the Yisroel Belsky page. I see from your comments that most of your concern is not to use biased sources and not to whitewash issues, and I do agree with that. Actua718 (talk) 19:12, 31 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The concern is that Wikipedia articles must be sourced with WP:RS. If the WP:RS cover a topic it won't be whitewashed.--Jersey92 (talk) 20:00, 31 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Jersey92 This is Hollysomerset... My club paws page was only an expirament - I don't care it was deleted. Thanks for leaving a 'user talk' for me - my first! I started doing this today. I'll check out what you've done so far to help wikki. Thanks again, Holly — Preceding Holly Somerset (talk) 22:27, 22 February 2016 (UTC) comment added by Hollysomerset (talkcontribs) 22:14, 22 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please use a Userspace page for that and not test in the main encyclopedia. See WP:HUD. Thank you. --Jersey92 (talk) 22:32, 22 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Landsberg Prison article

[edit]

Hey Jersey92,

I've seen you changed my edit on the Landsberg Prison page back to what it was before. Would you care to let me know why? You're clearly the more experienced user of us two, but as stated on the talk page of that article there are good reasons for assuming the person is indeed not Franz Strasser, and you unfortunately didn't leave a comment/explanation on that talk page. Ception (talk) 22:56, 6 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The caption of the image in Wiki says it is Strasser. Please feel free to fix both if you believe it is incorrect. Jersey92 (talk) 01:05, 7 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
That is true. But that image has as a source only some small private blog, which itself does not mention any sources. It does not appear to be trustworthy at all. At the same time some pictures of original newspaper articles dating back to Strasser's hanging show clearly that the wooden frame looked different than on that picture. Furthermore there are a few other problems with the picture (mentioned by Kauko here and also here, on the discussion page for the picture itself). So all in all it appears that the caption for that picture is wrong in the first place.Ception (talk) 01:13, 7 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry, I just saw the second part of your message. I'm not sure how Wikimedia works. I can of course edit the caption, but what do I do with the link referring to the blog the picture originated from? Somebody following it will still see the blog claiming it is Franz Strasser.Ception (talk) 01:19, 7 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Please fix in Wiki, and let the blog owner know. --Jersey92 (talk) 18:40, 13 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
