Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited LMFAO, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Electronic (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). The IP has been reported to the antivandalism notice board so it is just a matter of time till the admins there get around to blocking him. Until he is blocked, it is probably the best idea now just to ignore him and leave the changes in the "pending state". I need help regarding this article. Someone seems to have inserted a potentially harmful external link (the first one), and I need someone to check it out. Thanks! Lighthead þ 23:34, 15 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Which link? The espnmediazone.com one? Looks fine to me, what makes you think it is harmful? -- Patchy1 23:37, 15 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
That's weird. I got two messages on my computer saying the site was harmful. The site even seemed to try to make changes to my laptop. Are you sure? Do you get anything from your antivirus when you try to access the site, if you have one? Lighthead þ 23:42, 15 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure how official the website is, at the bottom it says it is powered by WordPress, which seems unusual, but I don't get any browser or antivirus alerts. I'm using Google Chrome, and it's usually pretty good at picking things up. Looks fine. -- Patchy1 23:47, 15 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there!

[edit]

I'm the first person to join WikiProject Television - Cable television task force! So yay!! I'm Christa, I put what cable shows I like on there when I added my name to the list.

I'm super obsessed with Bates Motel right now, so I'll be doing some editing over there. :) Well, I guess, Hi, and bye! Thepoodlechef (talk) 18:06, 1 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

No, I totally understand. I have got commitments. I never make commitments that I'm commited to do at specific times for a specific amount of time.

I'll always come back eventually when I leave. It may take 6 months, but wikipedia is something I care about, especailly my tv, so It'll be on my mind. :)

If you have any specific requests (no demands please, I freak out with any kind of obligation or demand), just let me know and I'll try to work on it!! oh yeah - i like electronic music too, you should check out my spotify - 123811116 is my username. Thanks so much for the warm welcome! Thepoodlechef (talk) 03:14, 2 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Actually, that's really funny, because I do that type of thing for fun on my facebook and for my own records and stuff. I have TV guide and I always look this type of stuff up,

so i'd be happy to do that. I"m really glad I found this!! Now, I can be a part of creating a page that I think is really important. Yeah it's a big project that will never be finished, but that's why I like it :) Yes, I'm not a new editor time wise, but I'm more of an inexperienced editor. I spend much of my time elsewhere, but would like to spend more of it here. Sometimes I'm not that great with code, so I might be coming to you with those types of questions. :) Thepoodlechef (talk) 21:14, 2 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

What you want from pandora, spotify offers :) - it's called Spotify Radio. It's mainly for android and apple apps. The computer application is more of a playlist builder. You can find the songs on the radio and save them to your playlists for later. :) You might try finding me under Christa Sloan but on my account page for spotify username: it says 123811116. Yeah I slowly figured out that I would need to look up each show's page to find the schedule. I'm having a bit of trouble with the spreadsheet template. I think I'd rather just gather the data in textual form and have someone else put it into the spreadsheet. Sorry, but like I said I'm not good with code and I'd rather not go into that. I'll be happy to start organizing the data though. :) Thepoodlechef (talk) 01:20, 9 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I have some shorter playlists as well. But my starred playlist, is really just a random collection of important music. So, I figured out a way that's better to organize the cable guide. I think we should organize it by making a guide for each company which owns several networks. For example, I started with A&E Networks, and if you go to that wiki page they own like several channels. Also, I've discovered that some cable channels do not publish a regular schedule. They just announce the premiere date of all their shows. And when I go to A&E's official schedule on aetv.com or whatever, their weekly primtime schedule changes. My favorite cable show on nickelodeon just changed networks to teennick and the entire schedule changed mid season. It might be simpler to record this type of information on each shows page and then on each networks page just make a collapsible chart that includes the shows during each season. What do you think?? Contemporary art

[edit]

Hi Lighthead. i would like to revitalize the wikiproject contemporary art. I added some resources and edited a bit the project pages. I think it would be useful to have a coordinated space for contemporary art. it is still needing quite a lot of effort to improve the pages. hope you like the idea and thanks.--Iopensa (talk) 10:21, 24 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

thank you so much for your very useful message! --Iopensa (talk) 18:59, 25 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A rare event.

[edit]

I usually don't do this, but I feel compelled to write on my own talk page. I sincerely apologize for all the punctuation errors on my user page. I obviously wrote the bulk of it when I really didn't know how to write, to be honest. Over the years, I've tried to chip away at the problems, but if I'm still talking about it then you can sense the gravity of the situation. I realize that all the errors are a real eyesore, so I apologize, from the bottom of my heart (the bulk of the problem seems to involve semicolons). I will work on it when I have time -- which is never! But I hope to get to the bottom of it. It's on me. Thanks for your patience. Lighthead þ 09:36, 13 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Upcoming L.A. events: Unforgetting L.A. edit-a-thon (Saturday, June 21, 12-5pm) and Wiknic (Sunday, July 6, ~9:30am-4pm)

Gallery at 356 S. Mission Rd.
Get hungry for the Wiknic!

Dear fellow Wikipedian,

The L.A. Wikipedia community has two exciting events coming up in the next few weeks: an edit-a-thon sponsored by the online magazine East of Borneo, and the fourth annual Los Angeles Wiknic!

The East of Borneo event is an edit-a-thon that aims to build a better history of art in Southern California. This next chapter of their Unforgetting L.A. series will take place on Saturday, June 21, 2014 from 12pm to 5pm at 356 S. Mission Rd. (map). Beginners welcome! Please RSVP here if you plan to attend. For more info, see eastofborneo.org/unforgetting.

The Wiknic is a part of the nationwide Great American Wiknic. We'll be grilling, getting to know each other better, and building the L.A. Wikipedia community! The event is tentatively planned for Pan-Pacific Park (map) and will be held on Sunday, July 6, 2014 from 9:30am to 4pm or so. Please RSVP and volunteer to bring food or drinks if possible!

Chuck Person

[edit]

I removed the hatnote because it feels like very very few people will go to the Chuck Person article looking for the musician. But I left it and created a RD for the album title to the musician article. By the way, you left your note on my Talk page almost an hour after I'd stopped editing. Thanks for assuming good faith there, pal. Rikster2 (talk) 11:52, 3 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Here's the RD I created - Chuck Person's Eccojams Vol. 1.. Here's a suggestion, if you want people to be more personable with you, then maybe your first time reaching out shouldn't be an "in your face" message on their Talk page. Remember, I read both of your messages at the same time. I removed it because at the time, the pseudonym was a tiny fraction of a mention in the article (unsourced no less) and the album wasn't even in the discography. The basketball player is a real person who is known exclusively by that name. I'd apologize, but you've irritated me too much at this point. Rikster2 (talk) 20:42, 3 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. Query

[edit]

Hello, Lighthead,

I'm an admin who currently works with a lot of expiring drafts and I came across a draft I wonder if you might be able to help with. It's Draft:House of The Demonic Bible and it needs some better sourcing. I got your name by looking at the participants list of Wikipedia:WikiProject Religion/Left Hand Path work group and you were the only editor who was still active on Wikipedia. If you are not interested, that's fine, I just thought I'd look for an editor who might have some interest in the subject matter. The editor who created the draft hasn't been active for 6 months so I don't know if they will return to work on it.

Any way, nice to come across your name. Happy editing! Liz Read! Talk! 05:57, 15 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the message, Liz. I find it interesting that you messaged me about that, since I actually have had an active interest in the overall subject (the LHP) within the last, say, 2 years, or so (especially considering that I probably added my name to that project ages ago, from what I can recall). I can look more fully into that draft, but I honestly know nothing about that coven. It also has to do with the Lesser Key of Solomon demons, and I'm definitely more interested in the Qliphothic demons, if anything. But I will definitely look at that draft more deeply, as I said, and I'll see if I can be of any help. If I don't get back to you about that, just message me again so that I can tell you if I was able to come up with anything on that. But I'm just warning you that the coven doesn't seem to be part of my overall interest in that sphere, like I said. But I'll look into it when I can. Thanks. I have no idea why a fairly experienced editor would blank two articles about notable films. You are going to have to provide a very persuasive explanation if you want to be unblocked. Cullen328 (talk) 07:25, 2 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I don't have to provide an explanation. Lighthead þ 14:34, 2 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
