I just wanted to know how the tool was working for you. Any suggestions or complaints? Thanks. Wikidudeman (talk) 16:25, 4 October 2007 (UTC) [reply]

This will be first Royalty-related article (normally Soccer team articles), so I wonder if you or other people can talk with me so we can work together to make this article ready so the bot can take the "stub" tag off. How about it?? Rakuten06 20:28, 8 October 2007 (UTC) [reply]

"Federal part of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth"

[edit]

I think I know what you mean to convey, in the "Ignacy Domeyko" article, when speaking of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania having been a "federal part of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth" — that Lithuania retained its national identity and was not merely part of a homogenized superstate. I fear, though, that many readers will be confused by the expression "federal," since in countries like the United States and Germany "federal" merely contrasts with "state" or "land."

Perhaps a better way can be found of expressing your thought. Nihil novi 19:23, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, actually I had been thinking of "confederated." This expression, while perhaps not entirely unambiguous, would, I think, convey your thought better. Nihil novi 19:47, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please see Talk:Polish-Lithuanian_Commonwealth#Federation_or_confederation.3F. Bottom line is neither modern definitions of federation or confederation apply to well.-- Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus | talk  18:50, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
