May 2021[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Toddy1. I noticed that you recently removed content from Doda district without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. You also added details of an incident that occurred in Ludar hamlet of Paddar area of Kishtwar district. This was in Doda district at the time, but the district was split since then. You appear to want to cherrypick incidents that support your world view. Please read WP:NPOV.-- Toddy1 (talk) 10:52, 11 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Moving sections of pages[edit]

Hello, Pikachu the same!

Please use copy and paste (ctrl+x to cut, and ctrl+v to paste if you didn't know already) if you need to move a section of a page, and only use one single edit. It looks extremely suspicious to delete a large section of a page for any reason and consequently shows up as "likely to be damaging" and "likely bad faith here.

ARBIPA sanctions alert[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Dishonest edit summary[edit]

Information icon Please do not use misleading edit summaries when making changes to Wikipedia pages, as you did to Manipuri Brahmin. The edit you made had the edit summary Minor grammatical changes and added new content, but the edit really deleted Indo-Aryan and inserted a comma in its place. Citation [1] in the article is for the Manipuri Brahmins being Indo-Aryans. Your edit therefore ruined verifability, because after your edit, the citation was essentially there for nothing. This behavior is viewed as disruptive, and continuation may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you.-- Toddy1 (talk) 13:26, 16 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Use of multiple accounts[edit]

Information icon Hello, Pikachu the same, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia. Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who misuse multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please disclose these connections. Thank you.-- Toddy1 (talk) 13:35, 16 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Toddy1: Do you have another user in mind?--Bbb23 (talk) 15:55, 18 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The user creation log shows that at 18:49, 10 May 2021 User account Pikachu the same was created by Pikachu Ramu
The editor interaction analyser shows that each account edited Doda district and Manipuri Brahmin. The edit by Pikachu the same to Manipuri Brahmin was a reinstatement of the edits by Pikachu Ramu.[1]
-- Toddy1 (talk) 16:09, 18 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The problem is that the two accounts never edited simultaneously as the first stopped editing and the second then took over. Also, the first account had never been blocked, so although it would have been better to declare the two accounts, there was no reason why the second account couldn't be created. Also, the individual did not exactly hide what they were doing in terms of usernames or account creation. I agree that the user's edits and edit summaries are often unconstructive, but it does not appear that socking is a basis for any sanctions at this point.--Bbb23 (talk) 17:42, 18 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates, or other materials from Wikipedia without adequate explanation, as you did at National Technical Research Organisation, you may be blocked from editing. 37.111.135.246 (talk) 10:48, 26 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

June 2021[edit]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but a recent edit of yours to the page Chittagong Hill Tracts has an edit summary that appears to be inaccurate or inappropriate. The summaries are helpful to people browsing an article's history, so it is important that you use edit summaries that accurately tell other editors what you did. Feel free to use the sandbox to make test edits. Thank you. Firestar464 (talk) 08:53, 2 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Kautilya3. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Junagadh State, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Kautilya3 (talk) 22:47, 23 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

July 2021[edit]

Information icon Hi Pikachu the same! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Bagram Airfield that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia – it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Aoidh (talk) 21:01, 2 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Tayi Arajakate. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Stan Swamy, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Tayi Arajakate Talk 15:31, 5 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Afghanistan situation map[edit]

Hi, you recently re-added this file back into the article Taliban insurgency. Per this discussion on WP:RSN this map is not reliably sourced and not verifiable. Content on English language Wikipedia should be verifiable and based on reliable, independent sources. However, this map is based on reports from an anonymous Twitter feed that appears to be translating reports from the Taliban. Moreover the map is obviously incorrect (e.g., it shows the city of Balkh in the hands of Taliban). Finally, the edit summary you wrote was misleading: this was not new content. FOARP (talk) 10:15, 3 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Citations and quotations[edit]

Information icon The concept of having a citation after a quotation is to show where the quotation came from. So do not move another citation in front of that one as you did at Human rights violations in Balochistan.-- Toddy1 (talk) 07:56, 5 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

July 2021[edit]

Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but your recent edits, such as those to Dukhtaran-e-Millat, appear to be intentional disruptions designed to illustrate a point. Edits designed for the deliberate purpose of drawing opposition, including making edits you do not agree with or enforcing a rule in a generally unpopular way, are highly disruptive and can lead to a block or ban. If you feel that a policy is problematic, the policy's talk page is the proper place to raise your concerns. If you simply disagree with someone's actions in an article, discuss it on the article talk page or, if direct discussion fails, through dispute resolution. If consensus strongly disagrees with you even after you have made proper efforts, then respect the consensus, rather than trying to sway it with disruptive tactics. Thank you. Kalu Dada from Thathri Kutty (talk) 16:09, 6 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Pikachu the same, please could you explain whatever your point is on Talk:Dukhtaran-e-Millat.-- Toddy1 (talk) 17:26, 6 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked as a sockpuppet[edit]

Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for abusing multiple accounts as a sockpuppet of User:William Raw per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/William Raw. Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Mz7 (talk) 19:42, 9 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
