February 2024[edit]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that your recent edit to Tate–LaBianca murders did not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.

The edit summary field looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → check Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary, and then click the "Save" button. Thanks! — BarrelProof (talk) 07:22, 13 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

May 2024[edit]

Information icon Hi Starla Tate! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Thank you. Daniel Case (talk) 02:30, 23 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm JSFarman. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to Brett Cantor have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. Wiki has instructions on how to cite a podcast so why would this be inappropriate? Starla Tate (talk) 05:38, 24 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
