Naming conventions

Naming conventions

  • For people: [[Athanasius of Alexandria]], unless others by that name exist, in which case the activity for which the individual is best known should be bracketed, e.g., [[Athanasius of Alexandria (saint)]] (not [[Athanasius of Alexandria (apologist)]], [[Athanasius of Alexandria (philosopher)]], etc.)
    • For clergy: (deacon), (priest), (bishop), (pope)
    • For scholars: (theologian), (philosopher)
    • Other possibilities: (author), (martyr), (religious)
  • For other subjects: The simpler the title the better, with redirects or disambiguation pages, as necessary.
