  1. Table tennis was nominated as a good article but did not meet the criteria. Please help to improve the article based on the review page.
  2. Other related articles need possible improvement: Table tennis racket, Speed glue, Table tennis styles, Table tennis terminology, Ping Pong Diplomacy. The articles belong to Category:Table tennis.

Players

  1. List of table tennis players included names in history. There are names possibly needed to be added on the list. Pages on the list needed to be created and expanded.
  2. Update monthly ITTF world ranking, improve the format if possible. Pages on the ranking list also needed to be created and expanded.
  3. Maintain, update, expand table tennis players' pages on Wikipedia. The pages belong to Category:Table tennis players and its subcategories.

Players' pages should include at least the following points (see Tomie Edano for example including minimal information):

  1. An Infobox at the intro section. This infobox should contain a medaltemplate section including results achieved in the following tournaments: Olympic Games, Table Tennis World Championships, Table Tennis World Cup, and the continental championships (e.g. Table Tennis European Championships for European players). The aforementioned infobox can be automatically generated using the tool (developed by Cialo (talk · contribs)) available at http://193.205.83.89/cgi-bin/infobox_tt.cgi
  2. A heading with some general information about the player (i.e., nationality, years of main achievements, main achievements).
  3. A "See also" section including a link to the List of table tennis players wikipage.
  4. A "References" section built with the "reflist" command, including a link to the player's page on the ITTF database (i.e., for Ulf Carlsson, http://www.ittf.com/ittf_stats/All_events3.asp?ID=1049).
  5. {{Tabletennis-bio-stub}} leaves a biographical stub message at the end of the article, adding the article to Category:Table tennis biography stubs.

Competitions

Pages on current table tennis tournaments need updates and expansions.

  1. World Table Tennis Championships (Category:World Table Tennis Championships)
  2. ITTF World Tour
  3. Update and expand the pages of other competitions on ITTF calendar (external link), the pages on Wikipedia are included in Category:Table tennis competitions.
  4. Created Latin American Table Tennis Championships. The page needs heavy update.
  5. English Open (table tennis) - page has been tidied up a little, but champions' list was originally entered with a few misspellings, not many links and with incorrect versions of European flags for pre-90s events (have updated some), so further tidying still required
  6. Missing tournament pages from schedule list at 2017 ITTF World Tour to be added

Organizations

  1. International Table Tennis Federation and its related organizations need to be maintained and to be expanded. The pages are in Category:Table tennis organizations.

New articles

  1. There are articles on Wikipedia associated with table tennis but the articles are not currently within the scope of Wikiproject Table tennis. Please help adding {{WikiProject Table tennis}} on the discuss pages. The template categorizes the pages as Category:Table tennis articles. If the articles are also in the scope of other Wikiprojects, WikiProjectBannerShell could be used on the discuss pages.
  2. If the articles are stubs, Please add {{Tabletennis-stub}} at the end of the pages (or {{Tabletennis-bio-stub}} on players' pages) to show the message, adding the article to Category:Table tennis stubs (or Category:Table tennis biography stubs).
