Hinsdale is accessible by Metra train on the BNSF line. The main stop for downtown is Hinsdale, and the stops at Highlands and West Hinsdale are also in the town.

By car, Hinsdale is accessible by I-294 (exit Ogden Ave), IL Route 83, Ogden Ave, or 55th Street.

Depicting the life of a middle-class family living in Hinsdale between 1874 and 1900, this historic home includes seven authentically restored period settings filled with hundreds of objects donated by local residents. Tours for small groups are available by appointment.
