Def 2 was changed to the following removed text:
- #The manifestation of self (or soul) that is tied to the physical component, the brain.
I reverted that edit as it screws up the translations (numbered) royally. Also, I believe it is wrong. The mind refers ALSO to the text above, as well as another meaning: the physical brain. --Connel MacKenzie 06:41, 11 Mar 2005 (UTC)
Mind as ability
I wonder abour the following definition found in the article.
- The ability to be aware of things.
- There was no doubt in his mind that they would win.
I see mind as a kind of container; doubts, thoughts and similar can be in it. I do not see how an object such as doubt could be in someone's ability. Put differently, ability is not a container. But I am a non-native English speaker. --Daniel Polansky 16:55, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
