  1. (intransitive) to be full, to be satiated
    • 9th century CE, “Book 6, Hadith 112”, in Muhammad al-Bukhari, compiler, Al-Adab al-Mufrad:
      لَيْسَ الْمُؤْمِنُ الَّذِي يَشْبَعُ وَجَارُهُ جَائِعٌ
      laysa l-muʔminu llaḏī yašbaʕu wajāruhu jāʔiʕun
