- (music) Abbreviation of bass tuba.
Etymology 2
[edit]Derived from Ibaloi tuva (“a method of fishing”). An old man who was living in the area used a saligo fruit to make fishes dizzy and making fishing easier. People then started calling his place "Tuva".
