[edit]- According to Orel, from Proto-Albanian *twana, from Proto-Indo-European *tewH-, compare Lithuanian tvìnti (“to rise, swell”), Lithuanian tvãnas (“flood”).[1]
- According to Demiraj, from Proto-Albanian *tan-, from Proto-Indo-European *tód (“it”). Cognate to Ancient Greek τόν (tón, “it”).[2]
