Snake Venom Case: Brothers Sourabh and Gaurav Gupta have expressed threat to their lives from controversial YouTuber Elvish Yadav. The brothers have conveyed apprehensions that Elvish might get them killed in a road accident or implicate them in a false case. In this regard, the brothers have submitted a written complaint to the Gautam Buddha Nagar Police Commissioner Lakshmi Singh.
Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials are investigating a case registered against Elvish Yadav and some others under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), under the charge of suspected use of snake venom as a recreational drug in parties he hosted.
The brothers have alleged that for the past few days, Elvish Yadav and his associates have been keeping an eye on their house, adding that their vehicles are being chased.
Sourabh Gupta said that he is going to record his statement and present evidence at the ED headquarters in Delhi today. The evidence will then be handed over to Noida Police officials.
The ED officials, who are investigating the case registered against Elvish Yadav, had recently given a notice and called Gaurav Gupta to Lucknow on May 13. However, Gaurav had expressed his inability to go to Lucknow, following which the ED had asked him to reach the headquarters in Delhi.

Elvish Yadav Snake Venom Case
Yadav was arrested on March 17 by the Noida Police regarding their investigation into the suspected use of snake venom at parties allegedly organised by him. The 26-year-old YouTuber, also recognised as the winner of the reality show Bigg Boss OTT 2, faced charges under various sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, Wildlife Protection Act, and the Indian Penal Code (IPC) by the Noida police.
An FIR was lodged against Yadav and five others at Noida's Sector 49 Police Station on November 3 last year, following a complaint from a representative of animal rights NGO People for Animals (PFA). The other accused, identified as snake charmers, were apprehended in November and subsequently released on bail by a local court.
The arrests occurred at a banquet hall in Noida, where nine snakes, including five cobras, were rescued from their possession, along with 20 ml of suspected snake venom. Yadav was reported absent from the venue at the time of the arrests.
In April, the Noida Police filed a charge sheet exceeding 1,200 pages in the case, detailing charges of snake trafficking, use of psychotropic substances, and organising rave parties.
