A few isolated showers are possible through the early evening then drier overnight.

The weekend looks nice overall. Very warm afternoons in the mid 80s and comfortable mornings in the upper 50s to lower 60s.

A cold front sweeps through for early next week providing some drier and much cooler Fall air. Lows in the lower 50s by next Tuesday and highs by then in the 70s. That temperature trend continues for most of the week.

There is the potential for Gulf tropical development over the weekend and early next week. While not a threat to the Tennessee Valley this could potentially threaten the peninsula of Florida by the middle of next week.

TONIGHT: A few isolated early showers, then partly cloudy with skies continuing to clear. Lows in the low/mid 60s. Some 50s away from the city.

SATURDAY: Becoming sunny with an afternoon high in the mid 80s. A light northeast wind.

SATURDAY NIGHT: Mostly clear with lows in the low 60s.

SUNDAY: Sunny and very warm again with highs in the mid/upper 80s.
