Become a sponsor to Leaflet
π Leaflet is the leading open-source JavaScript library for mobile-friendly interactive maps. Weighing just about 40 KB of JS, it has all the mapping features most developers ever need.
Leaflet is designed with simplicity, performance and usability in mind. It works efficiently across all major desktop and mobile platforms, can be extended with lots of plugins, has a beautiful, easy to use and well-documented API and a simple, readable source code that is a joy to contribute to.
πΊπ¦ Leaflet was originally created in 2011 by @mourner, a Ukrainian developer from Kyiv, but has since grown a vibrant community of contributors.
Sponsoring Leaflet
For the past 11 years of the project's history, it never accepted any direct sponsorships or funding. It was always supported indirectly through companies allowing their employees to contribute to Leaflet at work.
Now that Leaflet development pace is back on track with renewed vigor, accepting sponsorship will help expand the team and support contributors that are helping the project in their free time, ensuring more sustainable development.
Recently, Microsoft OSS fund announced a $10k grant for Leaflet in 2022, which was the final tipping point for us to set up a sponsors account. Thanks, Microsoft! π
