About me

I am a developer with a passion for computer chess. As part of the lc0 team, I strive to create the strongest chess playing entity on the planet. My main goal right now is to apply my experience in machine learning and specifically hyperparameter optimization to the world of chess.

Current projects

• bayes-skopt: a general purpose Bayesian optimization framework, specifically optimized for use with very noisy target functions (e.g. chess matches).
• chess-tuning-tools: a suite of tools to tune the parameters of chess engines (both locally and using a distributed framework).
