Time:	Tuesday: Session 1 (10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.) Programmes: Doctor of Philosophy Doctor of Business Administration Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business and Global Management Bachelor of Business Administration (Information Systems) Bachelor of Business Administration (Law) Bachelor of Finance in Asset Management and Private Banking Bachelor of Science in Quantitative Finance Tuesday: Session 2 (1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.) Programmes: Bachelor of Business Administration Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance Tuesday: Session 3 (4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.) Programmes: Bachelor of Economics Bachelor of Economics and Finance Wednesday: Session 4 (10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.) Programmes: Master of Accounting Master of Finance Master of Finance in Financial Technology Wednesday: Session 5 (1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.) Programmes: Master of Economics Master of Global Management Wednesday: Session 6 (4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.) Programmes: Master of Science in Business Analytics Master of Science in Marketing Graduands will be assigned to one of the sessions in the two days* according to their respective programme. Eligible graduands registered for the Ceremony will receive a confirmation email by the end of June 2024, including the assigned session and other Ceremony details. * Please note Eligible graduands can ONLY attend the Ceremony in July OR the Virtual Congregation in June.

Registration:	Graduands are required to register for the Ceremony via the below registration link. Graduands who fail to register by June 14, 2024 (Friday) HKT 23:59 will be considered as not attending the Ceremony and will be conferred in absentia. Eligible graduands registered for the Ceremony will receive a confirmation email by the end of June 2024, including Ceremony details and event admission arrangements. IMPORTANT NOTE: Eligible graduands can ONLY attend the Ceremony in July OR the Virtual Congregation in June. If you have registered for both, you will be deemed to have joined the Virtual Congregation and we will NOT process your registration for the July Ceremony.
Attire:	Graduands are required to collect academic dress before the event, please visit the HKU Congregation website for suggested attire. For details on loan of academic dress, please contact: congmail@hku.hk Graduands who are not in full academic dress will not be presented on stage.
Certificate:	The collection of certificates is administered by HKU, please visit the HKU Congregation website for more details. Certificates will not be presented on stage during the Congregation Ceremony on July 9 and 10, 2024.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Eligible graduands can ONLY attend the Ceremony in July OR the Virtual Congregation in June. If you have registered for both, you will be deemed to have joined the Virtual Congregation and we will NOT process your registration for the July Ceremony. Important Notes (July Congregation Ceremony):

Graduands will be assigned a seat according to their programmes and the alphabetical order of their surnames, and will be invited onto the stage in a programme-specific sequence. Graduands are advised not to swap their seats in order to ensure the smooth running of the conferment procedures.
Graduands and guests are requested to respect fellow graduates by staying for the duration of the Ceremony.
Graduands are required to join the briefing on conferment arrangements 15 minutes before the ceremony starts at the Grand Hall (Morning session: 09:45 a.m.; Afternoon session: 1:15 p.m. and 3:45 p.m.)
Graduands who arrive at the venue after the start time of the briefing session will not be allowed to go onto the stage during the Ceremony.
Guests are encouraged to arrive earlier for registration. Guests arriving after 10:00 a.m. for the morning session / 1:30 p.m. or 4:00 p.m. for the afternoon session may not be permitted to enter the Grand Hall, in order to ensure no disruption to the Ceremony. Please remember to bring your mobile device or print-out copy of the confirmation email for onsite registration.
Participants attending the Congregation Ceremony are deemed to have acknowledged and agreed to abide by the House Rules.
The University and the Faculty may make appropriate adjustments to the Ceremony arrangements. Please stay tuned for further updates.

FAQs (July Congregation Ceremony)

Registration:

Only graduands eligible for graduation can attend the Congregation Ceremony. If you have questions on your graduation eligibility, please contact your respective programme office directly.

Unfortunately, you cannot register for the Congregation Ceremony after the registration deadline. Please contact us at fbegraduation@hku.hk if you have any questions.

Attendance at the Congregation will not affect graduands' graduation status/eligibility.

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer the deferral of Congregation Ceremony attendance.

Visa:

Graduands should check the latest entry requirements for traveling to Hong Kong before registration.

If you have registered to attend the Congregation Ceremony, you will receive a confirmation email by the end of June 2024. If you require a copy of the invitation letter in advance to support your visa application, please contact us at fbegraduation@hku.hk.

Please note that the Faculty is unable to provide additional invitation letter to support visa applications for guests. We recommend you and your guests meet all necessary visa requirements well in advance of the Ceremony to avoid any inconvenience.

Academic Dress and Certificate:

Graduands are required to collect academic dress before the event, please visit the HKU Congregation website for suggested attire. For details of loan of academic dress, please contact: congmail@hku.hk

You are required to bring a full set of academic dress and to ensure proper attire is worn together with the academic regalia. You may wish to bring safety pins to secure the gown and hood in place. Please wear appropriate footwear for walking up and down the stage steps. Please refer to here for suggested attire.

No, academic dress will not be available for loan on the event day.

Academic dress is mandatory for graduands attending the Faculty Congregation Ceremony. Graduands who are not in full academic dress will not be presented on stage.

Adverse Weather Arrangements:

If Tropical Storm Warning Signal No. 8 (or a higher number) or the Rainstorm Black Warning Signal is hoisted on July 9 and 10, 2024 (Tuesday and Wednesday), the following arrangements will be applied:

Morning session
If either of the warnings is hoisted or in force at/after 7:00 a.m., the Ceremony of the day will be cancelled.
If either of the warnings is lowered or cancelled at/before 7:00 a.m., the Ceremony of the day will be held as scheduled.

Afternoon session
If either of the warnings is hoisted or in force at/after 10:00 a.m., the Ceremony of the day will be cancelled.
If either of the warnings is lowered or cancelled at/before 10:00 a.m., the Ceremony of the day will be held as scheduled.
