TTI On-Campus Graduate Internship

TTI On-Campus Graduate Internship provides a unique opportunity for current graduate students to strengthen and expand their professional and transferable skills by working alongside experienced UCalgary faculty, staff and partners. Through a combination of mentoring and participation in meaningful projects and tasks, interns will contribute to the day-to-day operations of the university while expanding their professional network and career exploration.
Internship (position) eligibility
To qualify for a TTI On-Campus opportunity, an internship must:
- Part-time and skills-based
- Projects are non-academic, short-term, and with a UCalgary department
- $26/hour through wages and scholarship
- Minimum of 100 hours - maximum of 209 hours
- Minimum 5 weeks up to 8 months
- Project scope is not tied to research / grant funding and does not involve academic work
- Not contributing to a student’s thesis or capstone project
- Not eligible for Mitacs funding
- Can be laddered to TTI if scope increases

Student (intern) eligibility
To confirm your eligibility to participate in your internship opportunity and the TTI On-Campus program, you must:
- Registered UCalgary graduate student in good standing
- Part-time or full-time
- International, Permanent Resident, or Domestic
- At least one semester complete
- Internship / co-op / practicum is not required in academic program
- Approval from grad supervisor / program
- Normally, has not previously completed a work term in the program
- Can only hold one position at a time
Students currently receiving scholarship funding must contact the Graduate Scholarship Office at gsaward@ucalgary.ca to discuss whether participating in a TTI On-Campus Graduate Internship will impact current scholarships.
