Narasi dalam genre ini bisa saja menunjukkan nilai-nilai manusia, dan memiliki beberapa mutu tertentu yang membuat ceritanya terdengar seperti nyata. Legenda, untuk peserta aktif dan pasifnya, dapat mencakup [[mukjizat]] atau [[keajaiban]]. Legenda dapat beralih bentuk dari waktu ke waktu, agar tetap terdengar segar dan penting.
