Dokter telanjang kaki

Dokter telanjang kaki (Hanzi: 赤あか脚あし医い生せい; Pinyin: chìjiǎo yīshēng) adalah para penyedia pelayanan kesehatan yang berada di bawah naungan pelatihan kedokteran dasar dan bekerja di desa-desa Tiongkok. Mereka meliputi petani, tabib, penyedia pelayanan kesehatan pedesaan, dan lulusan SMP dan SMA yang menerima pendidikan medis dan paramedis dasar minimal.^[1]^[2]^[3] Tujuan mereka adalah untuk memberikan pelayanan kesehatan ke wilayah desa di mana para dokter yang dilatih di kota enggan bermukim. Mereka mempromosikan higienitas dasar, perawatan kesehatan preventif, keluarga berencana dan mengobati penyakit-penyakit umum .^[4] Nama tersebut berasal dari para petani selatan, yang seringkali bekerja bertelanjang kaki di sawah, dan bekerja sebagai praktisioner pengobatan.^[1]
