マースデン・ハートレー（Marsden Hartley、本名ほんみょう: Edmund Hartley、1877年ねん1月がつ4日にち - 1943年ねん9月2日にち）はアメリカ合衆国あめりかがっしゅうこくのモダニズムの画家がかである。

略歴りゃくれき

メイン州しゅうのルイストンで生うまれた。オハイオ州しゅうのクリーヴランド美術びじゅつ学校がっこうで学まなんだ後のち 、ニューヨークでウィリアム・メリット・チェイスの美術びじゅつ学校がっこう、ナショナル・アカデミー・オブ・デザインやアート・スチューデンツ・リーグでも学まなんだ。象徴しょうちょう的てきな絵画かいがを描えがいた画家がか、アルバート・ピンカム・ライダー(1847-1917)から影響えいきょうを受うけたとされる。1906年ねんから義母ぎぼの姓せいをファーストネームに用もちいるようになった。

ニューヨークに画廊がろうを開ひらき前衛ぜんえい芸術げいじゅつの普及ふきゅうをはかったアルフレッド・スティーグリッツに注目ちゅうもくされ、彼かれのグループに入はいり、最初さいしょの個展こてんを1909年ねんに開ひらき、1912年ねんにも個展こてんを開ひらいた。1912年ねんにヨーロッパに渡わたり、パリに滞在たいざいし、当時とうじパリにいたガートルード・スタインやハート・クレイン、シャーウッド・アンダーソンといった前衛ぜんえい文学ぶんがく者しゃのサークルに加くわわり、絵画かいがだけでなく文章ぶんしょうも書かくようになった 。パリでドイツ生うまれの画家がかアルノルト・レンネベックと友人ゆうじんになった。1913年ねんにはベルリンに移うつり、ワシリー・カンディンスキーやフランツ・マルクといったドイツの前衛ぜんえい画家がかの影響えいきょうを受うけた。

1916年ねんにアメリカに帰国きこくした。1921年ねんから1930年ねんの間あいだ、再ふたたびヨーロッパに滞在たいざいしその後ご、アメリカで活動かつどうし1937年ねんからはメイン州しゅうに戻もどり、活動かつどうした。
