| This paper investigetes the relationship between death and fertility in economic growth. When the death of adults are stochastically determined their asset per capita are dispersed, and economic inequality occurs. The life insurance of Yaari model achieves an equality in continuous time. In steady state of saddle point, increasing adult death rate reduces capital stock per capita, and increases fertility. Similarly the increase of time preference discourages accumulation of capital stock and increase fertility. Moreover the lump-sum tax increases capital stock per capita and decreases fertility. An adequate sanitary or medical service policy with decreasing adult mortality encourages economic growth and restrains population growth. | ||||||
