Xasthur

Xasthur는 미국의 블랙 메탈, 앰비언트, 어쿠스틱 포크 일인 밴드이다. 단일 멤버는 스캇 카너 (Scott Conner)이며 말레픽 (Malefic)이라 불리기도 한다. 지역 내 여러 데스메탈 그룹에서 활동하던 스캇은 1995년 12월 캘리포니아주 알함브라에서 밴드를 만들었고 2010년까지 여덟 개의 블랙 메탈 스튜디오 앨범을 냈다. 이후 그는 블랙 메탈을 그만두고 'Nocturnal Poisoning'이라는 어쿠스틱 프로젝트에서 활동하기 시작했다. 그러나 스캇은 2015년에 다시 Xasthur라는 이름으로 돌아왔고 2016년에 포크 앨범인 "Subject to Change"를 냈다.

2021년에는 사이케델릭 포크 앨범인 "Victim of the Times"을 냈고 2023년에 그것의 연장선상에서 블랙 메탈, 데스 메탈, 포크, 앰비언트를 포함한 여러 장르의 음악이 나오는 "Inevitably Dark"를 냈다.
