Deus belli in mythologia est numen quod ad bellum, amorem, pugnam, violentiam pertinet. Contingit communiter in utroque monotheistica religionibus et polytheistica. Dispars plerumque deorum dearumque polystheisticarum more maiorum, numina monotheistici depinguntur ut imperati bellum ad religionem effusum (Coniunctio intime inter bellum sacrum et credentem singuli veri fidei observatur ab eruditis sicut Ionathan Kirsch in suo libro God Against The Gods: The History of the War Between Monotheism and Polytheism et Iosephus Campbell in The Masks of God, Vol. 3: Occidental Mythology.)
