Botanic Garden Festival

Celebrate the start of autumn at our free community festival, set against the backdrop of our beautiful Botanic Garden.

Join us at this year’s Botanic Garden Festival on Sunday 1 September 2024, 11.00am onwards.

We’ve lined up some fantastic activities, workshops, food and entertainment for all ages:

• Enjoy live music and break-dance workshops throughout the day.
• Tickle your taste buds with barbecue food, ice cream and a host of other delicious food and drink available courtesy of local traders such as Cake Origin, Saints of Mokha and Oh So Delicious.
• Keep the little ones entertained with a scavenger hunt, face painting, bouncy castle and outdoor games.
• Unleash your creativity with arts and crafts and autumn-themed workshops, hosted by community organisation Buzzing Roots and our very own Attenborough Arts Centre.

Be sure to join our Alumni Engagement Team at Beaumont House, within the Botanic Garden, for a range of informal learning activities, such as a planetarium, robot wars and liquid nitrogen ice cream – all aimed at inspiring younger minds.

This event is free and open to the public. However, registration is highly recommended to guarantee access.

Access and parking information

The Botanic Garden is situated about three miles south-east of Leicester city centre, opposite Leicester Racecourse. The visitor entrance is on Glebe Road, LE2 2LD. How to find the Botanic Garden.
