Global blocks don't affect Meta-Wiki, so if your IP address or account is blocked, you can still appeal here. IP addresses or accounts that cause disruption on Meta should be reported at Meta:Requests for help from a sysop or bureaucrat instead of here so that they can be blocked locally.

Please describe the kind of cross wiki abusive activity you see from the IP or account. Saying an IP or account is a long term abuser is not helpful, but saying "IP vandalizes at ban.wikipedia, no.wikipedia and vi.wikipedia" is. This is especially important for range blocks. If you do not provide enough details, your request might be declined.

I don't really see the need for a lock here. Other than a block on enwiki and some edits on jawiki five days ago, there is no other particular cross-wiki abuse here. I agree that this isn't a very appropriate username, but I don't think it's that abusive of the calibre that it warrants a lock. Yes, but as far as I could see that was the only particularly inappropriate in their username. I would say that when we lock accounts for their username, it's when they are, for example, something that would normally result in a hardblock. I don't want to seem biased though so I won't really do much here I think, but I'll leave this to another steward for them to decide. EPIC (talk) 18:02, 31 March 2024 (UTC)

Pointless request which does more harm than good. Account has not edited, and there are many reasons for creating accounts (e.g., using reading lists on the mobile app). If they edit, they can be locally softblocked and directed to renaming requests, but there is no reason to lock accounts with barely abusive usernames (i.e., most usernames that request to be locked without hiding) since it only makes that process harder. ~~~~

Looking at the contribution on enwiki they made before their now deleted userpage, it doesn't really seem to me like they were purely here for spamming.
