METU Northern Cyprus Campus Wikipedia Society
METU Northern Cyprus Campus Wikipedia Society, is a formally established student society at Middle East Technical University Northern Cyprus Campus. The aim is to actively participate in free licensed projects, mainly in Wikipedia, its sister projects, and OpenStreetMap, by holding regular meetings. There is also an intention to recruit new volunteers and assist inexperienced users through the guidance of experienced users. This society is the first in Cyprus dedicated to the advancement of Wikipedia and open knowledge.
The society was applied to establish in May 2023 and officially established on November 8, 2023.
Aim
We aim to enlarge the Wikimedia community in Cyprus and work themes mainly about Cyprus on Wikimedia projects.
