Discussion: m:Special:Diff/11358928#Checkusers and oversighters on nowiki

Reason(s): These three user accounts have all replaced the infobox image in no:Kim Jong-un with personal photographs during the last week. Superflink did the same in January as well. I assume these accounts are sockpuppets, and it seems to me that the sockpuppetry started back in 2009, but with low activity for the last couple of years. Staled accounts are assumed to be Bølle Dust and probably the ones in no:Kategori:Mistenkte sokkedukker for Mr. Floyd (suspected sock puppets for Mr. Floyd). - 4ing (talk) 10:24, 2 June 2015 (UTC)

Reason(s): User:درپیت was created 3 weeks ago after User:Gire_3pich2005 was blocked[1] and his editing is so similar to him. Gire_3pich2005 has too many alternative accounts and some of his accounts was blocked for sockpuppetry [2][3][4][5]. I'm sysop in fawiki and too many sockpuppets blocked by me, and I know the User:درپیت is a sockpuppet but I cant be sure that he is Gire_3pich2005, so I request checkuser here. Reason(s): According to the previous CU , I have blocked Linda123~fawiki as a sockpuppet of Zeddefesad due to using an identical pattern of editting. Reason(s): In this AfD the above listed IPs have voted in favor of keeping the article, and so has the named account. Since we don't get IP votes frequently, this looks suspicious. However, one cannot surely know which ones are random IP votes and which ones are socks. Please run a check for those IPs and the associated named account. To protect the user's privacy, do not specify which IP it is associated with, if any, to the extent possible (although all these IPs are randomly assigned ranges for Iranian ISPs so they don't really violate the privacy of the user whose edits already indicate being from Iran). Discussion: m:Special:Diff/11358928#Checkusers and oversighters on nowiki

Reason(s): Funkybeatnick inserted a rather long quote from the newspaper Klassekampen (the user's only edit so far), which I reverted as copyvio. Another new account, Setesdalviku, reinserted the text a couple of hours later and continued editing by adding material from the same newspaper article in related articles. Using fresh newspaper articles like this, and especially from Klassekampen, is a typical behaviour of the indefinitely blocked user Sju hav (no:Bruker:Sju hav/w:User:Sju hav). Several sock puppets of Sju hav were blocked after CU in May and in February. - 4ing (talk) 21:15, 21 June 2015 (UTC)

Discussion: Page history

Reason(s): A new user appeared today and created an article translated from english. (link). The article was put immediatly on the fron page of our small wiki (I removed it.). Furthermore the article lacked some important letters of the albanian alfabet ["ë" and "ç"] - so tecnicaly it is not in the albanian language. It also contained some sentences that were not neutral. So I put the pov tag and I also tagged it for deletion. I also left a message on the talk page of "Cold 1996" about my concern if he was a user returning with a different Account. Some time after appeared "Albanian04", whom I have criticised in the past regarding some of his edits (see his talk page...). He left a message on the article talk page, that is more like a personal attack. Thats all. I want to know If "Cold 1996" is "Albanian04" or if he has any other account that in this very moment is blocked or that has been blocked on sq.wikipedia. @Mr. Pseudo: what breach of policy do you believe has occurred? If you have a sock policy that you believe is being contravened, I am not certain that the editing of a talk page of a new article that has been labelled for deletion is something that would not be noticed by the community and should not be immediately a cause for an accusation of socking. It would seem to be able to be handled by other means. — billinghurst sDrewth

"Cold 1996" started immediately creating a page from an English translation. As I said, he also put the page on sq.wiki front page. (He clearly knows how to do it. We have administrators on our wiki that don't know how to do that. So I suspect "Cold 1996" is an experienced user.) This fact was the one that makes (made) me suspicious. (Albanian04 just made my suspicion grow.) I'm asking if "Cold 1966" has another account(s) that at this very moment are blocked. I don't care that much if he is or is not "Albanian04" - I receive every day accusations like the one he made to me, only because I firmly remove copyrighted text or text copied forn the net and pasted like a new article. I DO NOT want to know if he has other account that are not blocked.

Reason(s): It appears that the accounts were mainly created to vote against deletion of the paper nominated in this AfD: w:fa:ویکی‌پدیا:نظرخواهی برای حذف/مینا آقازاده . Reason(s): They have multiple patterns of usernames: either nonsense characters (for most of them) or Arunrajan* (for two of them). Requesting a check to root out possible sleepers. Reason(s): User sq:Përdoruesi: Tifoz i Futbollit is a new user that appeared today (all his edits) in the Albanian Wikipedia and immediately made edits in his talk page (link) - that shows he is a experienced user; he also voted in a poll for the nomination of a good (perfect) article (link).
