Dungeon no Naka no Hito

“Dungeon People” is a solid anime, combining elements from “The Strongest Tank's Labyrinth Raids” and “Overlord” into a unique dungeon-controlling storyline.

Let me elaborate to explain my point better: The resemblance to “The Strongest Tank's Labyrinth Raids” lies in its focus on dungeon management, particularly the control of monsters and beasts in the control chamber of the dungeon. Similar to “Overlord,” each floor of the dungeon has a distinct leader with their own subjects.

All of this adds up to a story that feels basic but fulfilling and solid overall. The primary issues with this anime are its somewhat generic fantasy setting and mediocre animation. If you’re ... expecting groundbreaking visuals or a completely fresh take on fantasy, you might be a tad disappointed.

That said, I can understand how this anime's slower, dialogue-oriented story might cause some people to drop it. It’s not action-packed all the time and takes its sweet time to build up the narrative. My response to that is: to each their own. Some people will enjoy the slower pace and detailed world-building, while others might find it too slow and generic.

But for me, it delivers a steady and enjoyable watch each week.

Overall, I give it a 7/10. It's pretty good, and I recommend it if you’re looking for something that’s easy to watch and has a nice blend of strategy and fantasy elements.

I think this might be a little bit underrated compared to how decent it actually is.

The way the show mixes goofiness and your normal serious adventuring a little bit, while showing some action moments and has your normal fantasy setting on display is not at all unpleasant. Overall even the characters are not so bad and the approach does not make you want to quit watching actively.

Sure granted the animation style and everything is not very suited for flashy battles and etc. but it suits the goofiness of it all quite well. All in all, it is actually decent enough to keep me watching till ... the end probably. I don't think the series can go wrong enough to make me want to stop watching at this point.

Fiuhh... I don't know what to write...
Basically, the problem with this anime is the visual. Is it bad? Nope, it is not. Is it good? Nope, it is not. It's just... Lazy, I don't know how to express it but I think the word "Lazy" will suffice to explain it. Don't expect some jawdropping-detailed scene from this anime. Why I expect that? Because it's fantasy. The dungeon design itself not that good but I know, I know... This is not that type of story where you expect MC will exchange skill with too-detailed-flashing-animated scene. It's just slice of life but inside the dungeon and the ... art styles are fit with it. That's why, I don't know myself what to write about this one. Maybe I expect to be slice of life but when the story get serious it will get too-detailed-flashing-animated scene.
If you ask me, do you watch it ongoing? Then the answer yes.
