A bit ago I finished this movie. I though, that it will be nice spinoff or sequel, maybe even prequel... but it was something else.
Actually, I think it was combining few first episodes of Shakugan no Shana to one big movie, with a little better graphics and minor changes.... so nothing new...
Darn, I hoped for at least something... but this was worse than original series, cause it was just recap.
I hope second series will be better. (Though Shana can never beat Louise not Shakugan no Shana can beat Zero no Tsukaima. DOT!)
I started watching these series, cause my friend said that this is mandatory for an otaku (who shall I be someday, if I am not now). Therefore I got torrents up and waited for download to finish.
I got english dub, which was not bad, but I decided to redownload japanese one (in my eyes japanese > english in dubs) which was good pick. Therefore, finally, I could start this anime.
First episode was major turn down for me, I could not get what the hell they are talking about, what the hell happened or anything. It was getting strange over there, when first mecha was teleported from main heros head and they start figting big robot hand...
But still, since my friend was quite sure that this is good anime, I didn't dropped it and I continued. From ep 02 to ep 06 it was very good anime. Though it should be comedy, I laughed pretty rarely. But I enjoyed combat scenes a lot, though I am anti-mecha otaku.
So, overally, if you love mecha, this is the must. If you hate mecha, watch these series too, since it's not as bad as it could be.
Okay, I marathoned nearly whole set in few days (due to some real life shit I could not do it in one day), and so far I must tell that I really enjoyed it.
Zero no Tsukaima is one of the really rare shows, which is capable of bending time. To hell with Einstein, he was beated by this show. But really, when I run first episode of this series, I was facing the end so quickly that I could not believed that it is over...
Story was very speedy, I was never bored. I really felt that I was part of that universe, that I can feel the emotions of characters.
Of course, my favorite character was Louise. Hotter than Shana, more friendlier than Shana, the best tsundere in all anime I have seen so far. Saito is a bit idiot pimp, but when it counts we can count on him. Rest of characters were not bad, though noting superb. All is about Lousie and Saito. Nothing more, nothing less.
First series were very good, I must say that I enjoyed it a bit more than second. Though that is rare, since I am perverted otaku ecchi fan, but I still hated few moments in second series, cause Saito was a bit asshole in few scenes.
Still, even second series had not lost the time bending ability, so I liked it. One thing I quite hated was the end of 12th episode, which was a bit stupid. Episode was very likeable, one of the best so far, but last few minutes were awful.
Anyway, this show is must, if you have a lot of bit of free time and you are bored. Zero no Tsukaima series is the best way to destroy that boredness.
PS: I really hope that there will be third series....
