Overall, this manhwa is really good, a lot of people tend to criticize it, which I somewhat get? People say this series romanticizes suicidal ideation and self harm, which I guess I could see in some ways, but coming from someone who self harms and has common thoughts of suicide (even attempted it before) this is very common for mentally ill people to do. A lot of people who self harm think their scars are "pretty" or "their best feature" or something along those lines. If Parkgee is in fact mentally ill or suicidal, he could be incorporating himself into this series somehow and people ... mistake it for something else...?

Overall, I feel like this really brings the bullying that people like Hooni endure at school or even outside of school. It shows how the mind of someone such as Hooni functions (I'm not saying all people who are suicidal or self harm are like Hooni, but some could be like him.) Some people may view this as mockery, but it really isn't.

Parkgee is a great author, despite all the hate he gets for this work. Some people are just taking this series the wrong way in my eyes. Parkgee is simply trying to bring all the wrong to light and make people aware of it in a more creative way (like his series.)

Suicide Boy is completely crazy and non sense dark humor manga,
they have a lotta funny moments that envolved suicide, self harming, bullying and other disgusting things,
but they make that manga unique and a great life appreciation lesson and existential philosophy lesson


Story 4/10

Story sucks, they trying to focused on Hooni daily live and he get envolved on that "Everybody hates Chris" moments
But somethimes i have the impression what that anime is like a strange Shotacon Fetish, a lot of forced and strange moments
who Hooni gets involved, who simply pray god to the real villian of that anime (the creator) not trash our beloved character
who we learned ... to like.


Art 9/10

The Art is pretty unique and cute, is simple and beatiful, perfect for easy drawing or sticker memes (yeahhhh sticker memes :)


Character 8/10

Theres a lot who is just generic and random, this not includes Lee Hooni, i love that character development who turn
a suicide and depressed boy into a confident and likeable boy, he is once of my favorite manga characters,
He is "Chris" from "Everybody Hates Chris" but with their own style, i cant rightly explain in words how charismatic he are.

And the other characters is like the nerdy and dedicated guy, the Blondy smart playboy, the Tomboy who fell in love with Hooni
(she is pretty funny), The artist kid who try to sample Hooni (later he became a girl IDK who tf is happen or if she is still he wtf Park Gee explain this shit)


Enjoyment 8/10

I enjoy so much the fact of the situation be so bizarre and crazy with a lot of Dark Humor and things getting wrong in a bad luck wave
Every chapter that i read i see a lot of creative and funny ideas who made a enjoyable manga


Opera Summary

i like that manga, somethimes is pretty strange but in the most time is pretty nice to read

This whole manga was good, The problem is that this whole manga was sort of..queer baity?.. For example, he finally got some male friends that enjoyed being with him (one of them enjoys it lol) and that said friend has a really good relationship with the MC, they sleep in the same room and this is actually a big deal because the mc has severe social anxiety and bad thoughts of what will happen to him, so someone sleeping next to him is already an achievement, and correct me if I'm wrong there is also multiple romantic side stories where its always the MC's male ... friend and himself. They buy eachother food etc etc, stuff you would do for both your friend and your lover.

And just as the author gets you on the edge of your seat making you think they are going to fall inlove, a female character pops in because..just because..THIS IS QUEER BAITING! The character is a stalker, she was implied lesbian, getting confessions from girls and saying she never had interest in men. But ever so suddenly she appears in the MC's life and in the blink of an eye, the relationship with his friends doesn't matter anymore, this girl literally followed him home while fantasising about how cute he was, which is already creepy enough!

I dont NEED queer relationships, it's just the fact the author is allowed to make the character gay! He just tossed a very good potential clove interest away just to bait the readers who were reading this for the comedy, but alot were reading this because they actually thought there was going to be good bisexual, gay and lesbian representation.

Oh and the mc is shota bait too, can't forget that one! It wasn't a problem for me, but knowing most people it will definitely be a problem for them, so just pointing this out.
