The character endings are alternative endings showing each character ending up with her. But they don't show any substantial interaction between the two. They are all pretty much the same scenario, cut-and-past a different guy. It is like those books they used to make where you choose who shows up, but poorly written. So, no, it doesn't show you who was supposed to show up, it lets you choose who you want to show up. Each character talks to her for several minutes (she doesn't say anything back) and then she hugs them.
