I regret watching this series. I realised about halfway through how poor it was, but saw it through, wanting the satisfaction of the ending. The ending was not worth persevering for.
The worst aspect of the show was probably the relentless melodrama. Characters hardly ever seemed to stop shouting and crying. Every time someone said something mean to a character, you'd get the dramatic *GASP*, their eyes widening, their body freezing, as if the universe were crashing down around them. This manga was garbage on all counts. Unrealistic and unlikeable characters aside, even the art was amateurish. Mainly due to the title, I didn't go in with high expectations, but even then it managed to fall far short. The reason I picked this up is that I was looking for series' with a prominent transgender storyline. The way Yuki's character was handled makes it abundantly clear that the mangaka's knowledge on the subject is shallow at best; her identity and feelings regarding her gender are never addressed. Average and forgettable, but undeniably enjoyable.
The whole premise immediately makes PriPri silly enough that you don't expect too much from it. It's cute and comedic, very light. Its strength is its characters - every other aspect of it is extremely average. As far as plot goes, there isn't really a single storyline that runs through the series. In the main each episode is a new story rather a continuation of the previous one. The characters are what make it fun. I think I found a favorite in Shihoudani, he was particularly strong.
